Napier wins early signing day, puts rivals on notice that things are different in Gainesville

It just feels different.

That was the prevailing thought that went through my head all day as the dominos fell for the Gators and new head coach Billy Napier.

First, it was 4-star (251st ranked) safety Devin Moore out of Naples. Then came DT Chris McClellan (100th ranked) eschewing his home state Sooners to keep his commitment to Florida. The boom was dropped when 5-star (28th ranked) safety Kamari Wilson chose Florida over the fighting Kirby’s and by the time 4-star linebacker Shemar James (64th ranked) chose the Gators, I was expecting it.

In fact, if you watched me giddily recap the early signing day class last night on Gators Breakdown, you saw my confidence when it was announced that St. Thomas Aquinas 4-star offensive lineman Julian Armella had moved up his commitment announcement.

Armella eventually chose Florida State, but that wasn’t what mattered to me. What mattered was that after four years of having the same conversations over and over about Florida’s recruiting and expecting Smart to stuff Mullen in a locker on the recruiting trail, Florida finally had a guy who could not only fight back, but had me expecting Florida to win these battles.

Everything isn’t perfect.

Florida still sits at 14th in the SEC rankings. The transfer portal undoubtedly waits for some Gators players who aren’t going to want to stick around for the Napier regime. There are still gaping holes at defensive tackle – and with the departure of Emory Jones – at quarterback.

But those things all existed before Wednesday. And while they will still exist on Thursday when Billy Napier wakes up, just about everything he could have hoped would happen on Wednesday happened. And the results from Wednesday exceeded my wildest expectations.

The job isn’t over. There is definitely still work to do. But there is now way more hope that Napier is the right man for the job and that Florida has taken the first step towards joining the nations elite programs.

One day at a time, one person at a time.

Pump the brakes, just a little

In case you can’t tell, I’m really excited about Wednesday’s events. And we’ll brag about the good things in a minute, but first I think we should all take a step back and face the reality that the job isn’t done yet.

Dan Mullen actually did a pretty good job in his transition class. He managed to hold on to Kyle Pitts, Amari Burney and Dameon Pierce from the McElwain class. He was able to convince Jacob Copeland to recommit to the Gators. And he got Malik Langham and Emory Jones to flip from Alabama and Ohio State, which gave fans hope that he was going to be able to get the job done against the big boys.

Looking at the metrics, there was reason to believe Mullen’s recruiting had the Gators headed in the right direction.

Last 6 Florida coaches’ transition classes (*Napier after early signing day). (Will Miles/Read and Reaction)

Mullen compared favorably to Ron Zook, Urban Meyer and Will Muschamp and was a considerable step up from Jim McElwain when looking at transition classes. By that metric, Billy Napier looks to be on a similar path, especially when it comes to top-100 players.

But obviously looking at this list, comparative success on this list does not mean success in the future. Ron Zook’s second class ranked 1st overall and had six five-star players. Urban Meyer and Will Muschamp’s second classes were ranked 2nd and 3rd overall, respectively, and both had three five-stars.

McElwain’s second class ranked 12th overall and Mullen’s ranked 9th. Neither of them signed a five-star player.

The point isn’t to cast aspersions at Napier. I think he did a fine job salvaging what he was able to from the Mullen era to put together a successful early signing day. Rather, the point is to emphasize that everyone but McElwain looked to be solid recruiters after the transition class.

It wasn’t until the “bump” class (second season) that we started to see the differentiation.

Napier the recruiter

Nobody knows this more than Billy Napier. Luckily we do have some data to look at what he’s able to do when given a full year to bring in recruits.

Napier took over the Louisiana job in late 2017, the exact same time that Dan Mullen took over the Florida job. The average recruiting ranking under former coach Mark Hudspeth was 97.6 nationally and 3.9 in the Sun Belt.

Napier didn’t really make an immediate impact in recruiting at Louisiana, finishing 5th in the Sun Belt conference and 105th nationally. His highest ranked recruit was Timaje Porter, ranked 882nd overall. If you’d have been looking at the 2017 class, you’d have been underwhelmed as Hudspeth’s top signee was ranked 682nd.

But upon closer inspection, what you’d also see is that Hudspeth had five players (in a 20 player class) who signed letters of intent but didn’t enroll. Napier only had one.

And then the recruiting jumped. Napier secured the 77th ranked class nationally – and more importantly, the first ranked class in the Sun Belt – in his second cycle. Again, all of his recruits who signed also enrolled in school and he brought in four transfers, one a 4-star defensive lineman (Tayland Humphrey).

Interestingly, when you look at the All-Conference lists (Pro Football Focus) for the Sun Belt in 2021, four players from that bump class make the list, two of them first teamers. But five from the 2018 transition class made it too, three on the first team.

That’s a different model than what I highlighted last week for Alabama, Georgia and other Power-5 teams. Usually those teams got limited production from their transition classes and then exploded with the bump class.

Because these are mostly 2 and 3-star recruits, likely there is a longer development time. But I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Napier’s team didn’t outright win the Sun Belt until those guys started to show up on the all-conference lists.

In his time at Florida, Dan Mullen had the exact same player rating pretty much throughout. It started at 90.75 in his 2018 transition class and then held near that level (90.56 (2019), 90.74 (2020) and 90.30 (2021)) for the rest of his tenure.

Napier didn’t have that issue, and saw his classes continually improve, with 247Sports player ratings of 80.01 in year 1, 81.81 in year 2, 82.93 in year 3 and 83.53 in year 4.

So let’s transfer that success to Florida while making a couple of assumptions. First, let’s assume that Napier’s class fills out for the 2022 cycle but keeps the exact same average player rating. Then let’s assume that he sees the same average player rating jump in each season that he saw at Louisiana.

Then let’s assume that he were to show the same improvement in his time at Florida.

Hypothetical recruiting finishes for Florida based on Napier’s improvement year-to-year at Louisiana. (Will Miles/Read and Reaction)

The 2022 recruiting class is divided up into tiers. The first level is Texas A&M (94.24), Alabama (95.17), Georgia (92.82) and Ohio State (94.04). The next level is Texas (90.37), Penn State (90.87), Notre Dame (91.54) and North Carolina (91.70). That puts Florida right in the top of the second level next year and competing with the big boys in level one in years 3 and 4.

Of course, I think some of these assumptions are flawed. First, Napier is going to improve this class as there are plenty of targets that will raise up that average player ranking. TreVonte’ Citizen (95.33), Jacoby Matthews (98.30) and Trevor Etienne (92.58) would all boost that number.

And I’d actually be slightly disappointed with a 91.64 average player rating for the 2023 class. Yes, it would be higher than the 2022 class, but history tells us that Napier will need to see a jump up into the level one tier in his bump class or it won’t happen.

Whether he’ll be able to do it wasn’t answered by his first early signing day, but his time at Louisiana gives me hope he’ll be able to get the job done.

Napier the person

I knew coming into Wednesday that the transition classes don’t usually yield significant results, even for elite program builders. After all, I just wrote about it last week. So why do the results for this early signing day give me hope?

For many, the hope comes from this quote at Napier’s press conference Wednesday evening.

“I love evaluating. I love recruiting. It’s kind of the competition in the off-season, and certainly although we’ve been going at it here for just a few days, it’s been a lot of fun with this Jumpman and this Gator on my shirt.”

This is certainly a welcome change from the previous two regimes. Both Mullen and McElwain were far more likely to talk about schematic advantages than they were to talk about loving recruiting. They knew it was necessary, but it clearly didn’t bother them that much when they finished slightly behind other SEC rivals.

That always drove me nuts. I mean, how can you rant about not wanting to lose in thumb wrestling and then not care when you constantly get your butt handed to you by Georgia, Alabama and LSU on the recruiting trail?

But the thing that makes that quote different is that Napier didn’t say it to generate hope prior to delivering. In fact, it’s the first time I’ve heard him talk about enjoying recruiting. Instead, he’s talked about the process of building a world-class program, but has been cautious about promising that anything will come quickly.

The fact that he was able to deliver and then he talked about loving recruiting meant that his actions followed his words. This is a stark departure from previous regimes, where it always seemed like they were trying to chase promises with actions that couldn’t quite measure up (remember Clarabelle?).

I know the recruiting quote got everybody excited, but it wasn’t the one that made me think the Napier era has a chance to be truly special. Instead, it was this one, which is how Napier started his press conference.

“Specifically, the UAA pilots, man, I mean we’ve got some of the best in the entire country and we’re very thankful for that.”

Napier then went on to thank the Gainesville community, Bonnie Hopper and Kim Adams, the current recruiting and personnel staff, the previous staff, the creative media team (Kevin Camps), the video staff, and even the Hilton Hotel and various restaurants around the Gainesville area.

That’s a stark contrast to Dan Mullen’s first early signing day press conference where he opened by talking about the swag that Florida had given him to wear, and then praised his new staff coming in and the crunch they were under.

It’s not that Mullen was a bad guy or even that what he said was wrong. It’s that Napier has come in and preached relationships and people and then he exemplified it at a time when he could have puffed out his chest. Instead, he gave credit to everyone and their mothers instead of pointing at himself.

We’ve all been on job interviews. You get a sense of the culture almost the minute you walk through the door. If it is a competitive, cutthroat environment, you feel it. If it is a familial environment, you feel that too.

Advertisements

That’s why this feels different. Every story that has come out about Napier has been glowing. I had one person at a high level who interacted with Napier prior to him being hired at Louisiana tell me that he was the most genuine person he’d ever met. But I’m a natural cynic. It all sounded too good to be true.

But you don’t take the time to thank Bonnie Hopper (responsible for commercial and charter travel for the UAA) without valuing people and relationships. I have no doubt that Napier has some flaws. I’m sure we’ll see them as we get more exposure to him.

We all saw the video of him talking to his Louisiana team after the Sun Belt Championship where he choked up when thanking them for helping him move on to Florida as they celebrated their coach. That video drove home the point to me and today’s press conference reinforced it.

I would have wanted my son to play for Dan Mullen because Mullen was the head coach at Florida and I love the Gators. I would want my son to play for Billy Napier in large part because of Billy Napier. That feels different.

And apparently, the recruits feel it too.

  3. Lane Train 2022 CHOO! CHOO!

Great article Will. I was a bit worried about how well Napier’s success in the G5 would translate to the SEC. Still lots of work to do, but with bringing In Raymond from LSU and Wilson and Shemar on ESD, I feel a lot better about what he can do as a recruiter. Hope the staff fills out nicely and I have to say that I liked the bold risk he took last week by being willing to let Evers and Co. walk if they didn’t fully buy in. He’s a cool customer who is not afraid to take risks or make bold moves, two traits which I think did Mullen in more than anything else that’s being said (specifically his conservative play calling and his inability to fire dead weight staff). As you can see, I was, and still am, a fan of Lane, but billy has brought a lot of the excitement that I was hoping for with a theoretical Kiffin hire. Good start to the Napier era, I’m looking forward to more.

Napier is making the right moves so far, so I’ll trust and support him until he gives me ample reason not to anymore.

I’m not exactly sure what this means, but during the presser one of the reporters asked him about the ESD success, and he said something about there being more. ESD actually extends through Friday if I’m correct. Could this mean we could get a couple more LOIs before the dead period? I have the same thoughts as you Will, I like Billy the person as much or more than Billy the coach. Great article Will, you summarized my feelings much better than I could.

    • Nick

Shemar James signed with us after Billy’s presser, so he was proven correct.

      • Erik Wells

True, but Napier send to be an intentional person. His response sounded like it was more than one. Etienne is signing today, so fingers crossed.

  6. Ken Tillery Jr

    Great article Will!
I will admit I was a Mullen fan and wanted him as our coach from the moment Meyer was gone.
What I learned over the last two seasons was I liked the Mullen offense under Meyer’s structure and recruiting. I did not like his core strategies of starting senior guys when better players were behind them and his obsession with rotating at a predetermined cycle despite certain guys having the hot hand in certain games that could have changed the outcomes.
Ultimately I was ready for him to go because I felt he was more dedicated to proving his strategies were right than making improvements to those strategies based off of results.
All that said to say what I took from coach Napier is that he is constantly evaluating his process and tweaking it to be constantly improving and I believe that to be a winning strategy.
I am also very giddy right now and hope that continues!!!

    • Mullen Failed

Ultimately Mullen crashed and burned in a similar way as urban. We all knew this was going to be a rebuild of a season losing Trask and Pitts and Toney. It was not just about going 5-6, but he constantly made all the wrong moves off the field as well and cultivated a negative energy around the program.

Same with Urban in Jacksonville. The Jaguars went 1-15 last year, so 2-11 is technically an improvement from a W-L perspective. But he made so many faux pas and generated so much toxicity in that locker room, that firing him was more about what mistakes he made off the field rather than his poor 2-11 record (as bad as that was, it wasn’t unexpected).

  7. Woodward & LSU Making BIG Dog POWER PLAYS

I hope Myles Brennan can have a Kenny Pickett type of season. The kid bleeds purple and gold and has waited so long for these opportunities. Nothing more would excite me than to see him absolutely explode next year and turn himself in to a early round pick much like Pickett this year. With the O line we’ve brought in and if we can keep Boutte and the other receivers mature like I believe they will I think he’ll have a monster year. Let’s Geaux Myles I can’t wait for next year.

  8. Woodward & LSU Making BIG Dog POWER PLAYS

Myles Brennan is a great Tiger. He patiently waited for his turn. Even as Joe Burrow was destroying defenses on his way to an NC, Myles waited. Along the way he had some incredibly bad luck with injuries. But he just kept focused on his goal.

Having said all that, I hope Myles gets the playing time he deserves and that he finally gets to show his stuff.

Now Myles, go do, what you do, so well.

  9. FREEZE PLEEZE!

What did rivals notice? That our recruiting class is ranked 50th in the nation and 14th out of 14 in the SEC (even behind Vandy)???

If we hired Freeze we’d have a top 3-5 class rn imo.

  10. Woodward & LSU Making BIG Dog POWER PLAYS

I am more convinced than ever that we are witnessing the ushering in of a Golden Age in Tiger Athletics!

Coach Kelly is a detail oriented, big picture kind of guy. I think he is stoked to have the chance to coach some of the greatest athletes in the best conference. He will put in place processes that are so very needed. There will be some growing pains in the culture reset, but the result will be worth it.

I am not an O basher. I like Coach O, always have, and always will. His vision as a “CEO” was clearly not the same as Kelly’s will be. O was very much a rah rah overseer, but he was limited in his technical expertise beyond line play. That being said, every Tiger Fan I know feels like two years of disappointment and chaos are things they have survived, knowing that in 2019 O caught lightning in a bottle and coached the greatest team ever in the perfect season. That season was the season we had always craved.

The other sports are all clearly on the upswing as well. Wade’s attention to detail really shows now that he has a group that has fullly bought in to his vision of how the game is to be played (who in the world actually studies the “tip” techniques of the officials who will be handling the game?!!?!!?) Ladies BB is light years ahead already, and I strongly suspect baseball is going to be very impressive.

In a transition time when signing day could have been a disaster, it was anything but. We have got some road graders coming for the O line, a talented QB, and some other help, which will continue to improve with the portal selections.

Finally, don’t sweat the outgoing portal. We want kids that bleed purple and gold, and we are starting out on the journey to build a fence around La to keep all our great talent home.

    Geaux Tigers!!!!

Alycia Chambers report doesn’t concern me. I don’t doubt that there may have been suspicions about Sandusky’s behavior in 1998. I believe that Seasock’s report was a more accurate picture of what was going on and that the contemporaneous investigation by the Centre County DA, State College police, Penn State police and CYS got it right when they decided the CSA allegations were unfounded and didn’t charge Sandusky with any crime.

Horesplay was reported by McQueary because he was uncomfortable with Sandusky showering was a boy in a shower in a Penn State locker room. He absolutely did not witness CSA as evidenced by Dranov’s testimony and Mike’s email to Eschbach complaining that she has twisted his words in the grand jury presentment and corroborated by Eshbach acknowledging that the gjp was false.

Yes, I know of Pendergrast’s estranged relationship with his daughters. What does that have to do with his critically acclaimed book? Yes, serial misconduct by the OAG doesn’t mean Sandusky is innocent, but it does mean that the trial was patently unfair and at the minimum deserves a new trial. By the way, if there is such a slam dunk case that Jerry is guilty, why does the OAG need to play fast and loose with the rules for an unfair advantage?

If you want to see Amazon reader reviews of Mark’s book “The Most Hated Man in America, Jerry Sandusky and the Rush to Judgment” please check them out. I strongly believe that Pendergrast is spot on in his book.

  12. Woodward & LSU Making BIG Dog POWER PLAYS

After announcing his intention to enter the transfer portal early in November, Myles Brennan has opted to remain with the Tigers for what will be his final college year.

Brennan’s experience with LSU has been an adventure to say the least. Spending two seasons being groomed to start, only to have Joe Burrow transfer in, and then a series of injuries derailing him the last two seasons.

The rise of Max Johnson and firing of Ed Orgeron likely factored into his decision to enter the transfer portal. But with Johnson then transferring, leaving the Tigers with just two scholarship quarterbacks entering spring practice, Brian Kelly was able to talk Brennan into returning.

While Brennan now joins a talented quarterback room with Garrett Nussmeier and Walker Howard, Brennan would only be returning if he was guaranteed to be the starting quarterback in 2022. It is unclear if Brennan would be starting or is even eligible (or healthy enough) for the bowl game.

How this impacts the Tigers beyond 2022 is unclear, but if Brennan remains healthy he is a massive piece as the Tigers transition to the Brian Kelly era.

  13. Woodward & LSU Making BIG Dog POWER PLAYS

    That’s my QB
You can say what you will, and plenty has already been said, about Brendan’s capabilities as a QB, but I’ll take 22 guys like him for my team any day. This guy has put everything he has in to the program and proven time and time again that this is his place.

In a world of Eli Ricks’, be a Brennan.

  14. Woodward & LSU Making BIG Dog POWER PLAYS

Couple of questions regarding Myles return
    1) Did Max Johnson (and Jake) know Myles was returning therefore their departure?
    2) Will Nuss and his daddy now head for the transfer portal?
    3) Will the City of Baton Rouge immediately ban the sale of flip flops?

  15. Woodward & LSU Making BIG Dog POWER PLAYS

    For Nuss
I certainly hope he stays. This is Brennan’s last year, so it’s line-of-sight, and Nuss doesn’t want to burn a redshirt, so arguably he should be comfortable with learning.

Another plus is having a QB “like him” that excels at downfield shots. Could make for a more seamless playbook that works for both.

I think Nuss stays so long as Howard doesn’t overtake him. I think Brennan will be the 2022 starter so Nuss would need to secure the primary backup spot. That would also put him in position to win the 2023 starting job. But if/when Howard leapfrogs him, I think he transfers.

  16. Woodward & LSU Making BIG Dog POWER PLAYS

Can we get a breakdown of who is coming back next year, either from the site or the commenters?
I’m sure something’s coming eventually, just getting antsy.

    QB: good shape.
RB: should be getting everyone back, right?
    WR: good shape.
OL: looking better…who’s gone? Anyone out of eligibility?
DL: still have our studs, right? Do we lose Farrell?
LB: Presumably Damone is gone, everyone else returns?
DB: Lose Stingley and Ricks, get everyone else back?

  17. Woodward & LSU Making BIG Dog POWER PLAYS

RB: Emery and TDP could go but who knows
WR: Palmer in the portal, Kirklin graduates, Boutte’s staying through spring at least
OL: Deculus, Shanahan out of eligibility, Ingram likely gone
DL: Farrell and Logan out of eligibility
LB: Baskerville gone, Mike Jones could go as he’s draft eligible
DB: Flott will have a decision to make, Todd Harris should (?) be out of eligibility but maybe gets one more year between the ACL injury in 19 and the extra year in 20

  18. Woodward & LSU Making BIG Dog POWER PLAYS

QB: Brennan, Nuss and Howard. Straightforward room there.
RB: Minimum one of the four out of TDP/Emery/Kiner/Goodwin is gone IMO. No ’22 RBs signed so far so maybe get a portal guy (Bigsby??)
WR: Jenkins, Boutte + 4 freshmen (Bech, Thomas, Hilton, Nabers) should all be back. Moore/Palmer/Smith gone. Room for a portal add here.
OL: Ingram, yeah, likely gone. Wire should be back. Thomas/Turner/Dellinger/Dumervil/Martinez/Bradford too. Hines is a maybe for 5th year.
DL: Gaye is likely gone too? Having Smith/Guillory/Roy/Evans inside and Ojulari/Carter/Fonua outside should help. May need a transfer DE.
LB: Baskerville has another year if he wants it. So do Jones/Clark (Clark gone though). Maybe we see more White/Penn/Sampah/Webb?
DB: Spot for transfers in? Flott/Ward should both be back. Toles/McGlothern/Burns/Ryan/Davis/Cage/McGhee all likely back but who knows?

  19. Woodward & LSU Making BIG Dog POWER PLAYS

RB: We’ll be fine even if one or both goes, IMO. And I really hope Emery gets a chance this year.
WR: We’re deep, but probably need to reload in recruiting this next year because it seems like all of our young guys are bunched together in the same year?
OL: if Ingram comes back, I think we can have a good O-line. If he doesn’t, we’re probably mediocre at best. Losing him will make it tough to fix in just one offseason, but who knows.
LB: Jones should definitely not be leaving, he didn’t even play much, right?
DB: Flott also shouldn’t be leaving. He’s got a chance to play a year as the feature guy. Also, didn’t he come in with Jay Ward? So is he eligible too?

  20. Jim McElwain

I cringe when I read that we are playing in a meaningless bowl game and it does not matter if we lose. Some even say rather than play someone leaving who gives us the best chance of winning, give another player—who may really be a second rate player who might never substantially contribute—some game experience. I differ and think if they feel that way maybe it is something they should keep to themselves and that watching the game might not be that important to them. I would be shocked if Napier wanted a player or team with the bowl game is not important attitude. I know many passionate fans care deeply if we win or lose any game and are upset whenever the Gators lose, even if it is a basketball game in a long schedule with very little meaning. Some recognize it matters if we have a winning season, that a loss can hurt recruiting, that a loss reflects on our program and the perception of becoming a rising football power. Winning tends to promote a winning culture and effort and work ethic; our poor bowl performance last year may have contributed to the 2021 team attitude and effort and a poor season. It is important to beat a less established but rising state school which is trying to make inroads on our recruiting and to be recognized as a comparable football school. Those who watched football for decades before there were playoffs understood that a bowl game was a highlight of the season and one of the most important games. Many look at how conferences do in bowl games as a reflection of the conference and team strength.

I believe Napier wants to develop a team first attitude rather than individual first, that every game is important and always give your best effort and win. If he instills that attitude and has players appreciating a bowl game as an important and enjoyable reward, we hopefully will not see many players who want to sit out a bowl game or play without great effort. I am in the old school and think the great running back Christian McCafferty did a huge disservice to bowl games when he suddenly made it acceptable to think of yourself first rather than helping the team and it was fine to sit out a bowl game. A player may want to train for a pro career but there is little advantage in losing the bowl training to start pro training a few weeks sooner. I do understand there is a very remote chance of a serious bowl game injury permanently affecting a player with a future pro career but that is a normally accepted football risk—there are many risks in life—and something that could also occur in 12 gamess earlier that year. Where do we eventually draw the line, does a player soon want to sit out the last three games when his team is no longer in contention? Reality is we will each year unfortunately see many more players badly injured in a scooter or auto accident, or by a shooting or fight than those who lose a pro career in a bowl game. I feel players should recognize what the school has done for them and while they are still being supported by the university they should want to help their team win a bowl game and even feel they have a duty to do so. I appreciated all Pitts did for our team but when he sat out the bowl game I had to justify it in my mind by thinking Mullen did not instill that team first mentality and do your best to help while a player is accepting free Gator food and housing and training facilitie. I also felt his sitting out was a normal reaction when he had wanted to play and could have played in the LSU game and Mullen did not allow him to do so and we then lost the game.

I recognize we all have different mindsets, that is natural and fine and I accept and respect those whose opinions differ. I only offer my passionate fan feelings so that some may reflect on whether the I do nit care about the bowl game is the best attitude or one the team should have. Go Gators, and at least I want to see our best effort and have us beat UCF to help move our program forward, I will feel a whole lot better if we win and do so.

  22. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Wowwwwwww. I thought he was laying low. Such a handsome man. Karma really has no expiration date.

  23. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Not surprised at all. Alpo caused a lot ruckus here in DC

  24. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

From what I was reading and hearing over the years, he was still walking around Harlem after he got out. I would have never stepped foot back over in that area.

  25. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Criminals like Po can’t help but to be outside. It’s like it’s almost ingrained in them to always be that way lol. I seen clips and videos of him in the mix over the past few years. Had he stayed away, he could have finished living a peaceful life. Great chance whoever killed him wasn’t even alive during his prime in the 80s with AZ, Rich etc

  26. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

You live by the gun, you die by the gun. He was a snitch (an unforgivable sin to people like him) and a murderer and you can’t outrun that karma and bad energy forever.

Alpo was really bold as hell to even go back to Harlem after everything he did.

  27. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Why was he still in the middle of Harlem after all he had done?
I would of been on a farm in willacoochie, Wisconsin like Harlem who???
He should have known it was coming eventually or he was very very arrogant.

  28. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

    Crazy as hell!

Karma took it’s time but it came around.

You have to be careful of the seed you sow, the fruits come to bear one way or another.

Imagine being THIS patient on getting revenge on someone? Unless he offended the shooter recently.

  29. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

You feel that? Why I gotta feeling it was him being cocky.. he felt untouchable he bold.. I wonder was he strapped. It’s wild because the old hey day Martinez wouldn’t get caught slippin. He was so slick. He delusional af if he thought the streets didn’t care!

  30. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Oh, he was definitely an arrogant narcissist. He did a whole video where he rehashed Rich Porter’s death and went back to the spot where he dumped his body like it was nothing. I’m honestly shocked this didn’t happen to him sooner.

  31. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

69 better watch out if this is true. I don’t believe in retaliation but I understand why this happened. He killed many people, ratted, and then came out like it didn’t happen simply because Camron did a superb job at making him look like a G in Paid in Full. Even some of the mafioso members get their comeuppance after ratting and coming home.

  32. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Welp. Who told him to go back to Harlem like shit was sweet? surprised he didn’t get got sooner but like he said: ****** get shot everyday B

  33. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Alberto Geddis Martinez (born June 8, 1966), better known as Alpo Martinez, or simply Alpo, was an American drug dealer of Puerto Rican ancestry from Harlem, New York City. He rose to prominence in the mid–1980s. In addition to New York, Martinez expanded his drug trade to other cities, notably Washington, DC. Martinez was released in 2015 while serving a 35-year sentence for 14 counts of murder at ADX Florence, a federal supermax prison located in Fremont County, Colorado. He was released after testifying against former associates and has since been living under a United States witness protection program.[citation needed]

Wow! So he was a big time drug dealer, SNITCHED to catch a deal and then was under the WITNESS PROTECTION PROGRAM??

What was he doing back in his old haunts?? It seems even though they earn money with a music career, or be protected for their own good like this man was, they never seem to want to leave their dangerous beginnings alone.

What was even back there for him after all this time?

  34. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

AZ Faison, former drug dealer who used to know Alpo and the rest (not sure he if necessarily ran with them)

He also was shot in the face but survived. Well he did an interview years back that I watched on a documentary of Alpo and Richie, said out of his own mouth in regards to Alpo

    paraphrasing

He should never step foot back in Harlem because a lot of people want to get him. Hell I wouldn’t if I were him

People don’t forget shit and they take the street code very seriously

    Alpo got what he deserved

  35. Mullen Failed

What if Franks doesn’t get hurt and finishes his career at Florida? 2019 and 2020 could have been very different. With this being said why is AR not starting right now? Yes he made some mistakes in the first few games schematically, but I think everyone but Dan Mullen sees that he has a higher ceiling and needs to be starting. Mississippi State might have been a better fit for Mullen. No one expects you to beat Alabama or go to the SEC championship. Play the top teams close and you’ll get SEC coach of the year. But this is Florida. Dan has to start making some tough decisions or he’ll always be the third or fourth best team in the SEC.

  36. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

One thing about doing people dirty and callously destroying lives is that you never know when that shit will come back. Griselda Blanco got knocked off at almost 70 years old after leaving a damn butcher shop.

  37. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

i was just thinking about that. a font made a post about that a few months back. she has….interesting taste in men. always connected to the streets. you would think the industry deals she been getting lately, she wouldve been left those types alone.

  38. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

I’m actually sad a little bit.Makes you think as fked up as it is he was a 80s legend. LL Cool J and Jay Z just got inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame and today he’s shot dead and he was the man they took some of their persona from. This is eerie af. Both is prime a example of the things you did even after 30 years can never really leave you. You can be celebrated or hated.

  39. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Alpo was never going to survive outside of prison he was safer in there. Think about all the children who never had fathers because of him. They all grew up and want revenge.

  40. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

    People really dont understand.

They expect it to be like the wild wild west.

No, they will let you get comfortable, let your guard down and then get you.

Everybody wants to say because it didnt happen it won’t.

They watch too many movies where things happen right away.

They do the same thing with Dirk about the Von situation.

  41. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

The blu-ray/digital version is crazy. They scanned every frame and sharpened it, it’s like you are in the room for each scene

Also, the HD version is on TIDAL…. That breakup of the roc was no joke. Everything got transferred over to this day. It’s one of the only full length films I’ve seen on there

  42. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Some of these young kids out here in these streets better take note. All that reckless street life living never leads to a quiet end. There is no peace when you heavy in the street life.

This couldn’t happen to a more deserving person. All the shit he was in directly or indirectly this could have been anybody. Plus old heads is walking out the feds everyday and I know for a fact some of them getting it back in blood.

  43. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Welllll… like another font stated it’s like he wanted this or true enough I believe he was arrogant enough to think not me. Whatever the reason karma never misses her turn EVER! Whoever did it was professional & didn’t gaf right by the precinct. Dang

  44. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

He was the true definition of a Psychopath!! You could hear it in his voice that he was proud of what he’d done.

He went from claiming that the guy that he killed was like a “brother” to him, yet, he expressed not an ounce of empathy.

Instead, his response about having him killed/killing him was: “I was MAD!!” He then, proceeded to BRAG about hiding his body in the woods!

Welp, karma paid him a visit early this morning. Being that he was a “demon”—I find it quite fitting that he was murdered on Halloween.

  45. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Rest in Piss. I have family who grew up around this man’s reign of terror and everyone knew that he was going to get got. He came out cocky and glorified himself thinking he was some kind of hood legend when he was a dirty snitch ass bitch. I’ve divested from the hood life shit but hearing this news made me smile and want to celebrate. Fuck him and everybody who loved him straight like that! They better hold his wake/funeral in space somewhere because he will most likely be disrespected again in the most dirtiest way like he deserves.

  46. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Nope. Just Harlem street life. Full circle, assinated on the same streets he spilled blood on.

Harlem always lets you play yourself and then they kill you when you get comfortable.
He is a fool to be out on the block, without his bullet proof vest. That man has always been driven by ego, ppl said it was money, he was a psychopath driven by ego.

  47. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

He’s a street legend and psychopathic murderer who killed his best friend then snitched on the whole hood to get a lenient sentence. If you’re not from Philly/NYC/ DC or even watched Paid in full then he’s irrelevant.

In his heyday, Alpo and his crew set a lot of fashion trends with Dapper Dan that people still copy today.

  48. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Now this is the type of failed male that failed males who criticize Russell Wilson look up to and revere as a hero!!!

Hear me out: Russell Wilson who comes from something and takes care of his wife and family is looked down on!

But Po, Fewtcha, Fif, DayStar and Jonathan are HEROES!!!

Po was a whole complete and total psychopath serial killer discussing committing a murder, disposing a body and other crimes like normal people talk about avoiding traffic by dipping off the west side highway to get onto the Hudson because we are in a hurry to get to White Plains…

  49. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Cross the street on certain men!!!
    100% NO CHANCES
    NO EXCUSES
    NO EXPLANATIONS

    Most of them cannot pass:

    Criminal background check
    Credit check
    Genetic testing
    Psychological screening
    Basic Physical
    STD/HIV screening
    Etc.

  50. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

They need to donate his brain to science because him being so nonchalant about it is WILD… especially when he knew that Rich was very desperate to rescue his little brother from them kidnappers….

  51. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Wayne has changed his ways. Wayne never killed anybody who didn’t deserve it ain’t like he was out killing innocent people. He was only knocking off rats or ppl who was tryna set him and his up for death. He’s been passed that life and he’s born again . To the point he doesn’t even go by Wayne or silk he despises those names.

  52. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

How do you kill your friend knowing he’s dealing with his little brother being kidnapped. Then he smiled in everyone’s face like it didn’t happen. He was a serial killer and possibly the feds. He treated everyone like shit from women to men.

  53. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

maybe he thought that since he told on more d.c. uh uhs than nyc uh uhs, he was safer. but they were still talking about how foul he was towards richie porter. big families and close street friends don’t forget…

  54. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

He was a psychopath and even if he hadn’t gotten into street life I firmly believe he would have still been murdering people as a serial killer.

  55. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

They let him live a long time considering he was out and about trying be the big man in Harlem. My family member used to run the streets back then and she was shocked that they let him live so long after what he did.

  56. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

There are three threads going at the same time about this person so i decided to go into one to see what’s so important about him that three different threads were made about him…and from what I see he was nothing but a criminal …but probably a hero to the ghetto folks …tragic

  57. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

The fact that he was back in Harlem casually chilling outside means he must’ve felt comfortable and like no one cared anymore about what he did.

He let his guard down and someone caught him slipping. But also, you reap what you sow, imo. How messy.

  58. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Mmmhmmm I’m big on numerology. The date totals to 10 too. They’ve been waiting for this date to come since he was released. 1+0+3+1+2+0+2+1=10

“Ten is that the aggressive impulse can bring forth people who are willing to do anything to reach their goal. In doing so, they can reluctantly hurt the one they love.”

  59. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

streets say rich wasnt as innocent either. he had heart and was loyal to people but got greedy with money. i feel for his BM after all these many years. you can tell rich was her true love. she posts him alot.

  60. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

He did a lot of fucked up shit back then BUT can anybody verify this? Is he dead-dead or ‘dead’— as in his new identity was ready and they had to publicly line his ass up so nobody thought he just disappeared :eyeroll

  61. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

A lot of the men who he had killed have sons and they are grown now. How could Alpo think all of these grown men were going to let him walk around freely?

Alpo was also always wearing a bullet proof helmet but I guess he needed a vest as well.

  62. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

That man was a sick piece of shyt.

you could have possibly gotten by with the excuse of him “only killing rats” if he didn’t TORTURE women before killing them.

also add in to the fact that some of these “rats” were really young girls or older women who weren’t affiliated with him at all in the drug business but were just trying to get justice for their boyfriends, brothers, SONS were killed by this man which any MOTHER would do and you have this demonic monster heinously murdering these women in the worst ways possible.

He didn’t just execute these women with simple gunshots…. No a lot of these women he kidnapped and tortured because he wanted to see them suffer.

he’s a serial killer and deserves an eternity in hell with his daddy Satan.

  63. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Yeha Domencio’s son is like 37. Why would you wear a bullet proof helmet and not vest.

he was messing with a font on this site, I wonder where she is right now.

ETA: she’s pretty distraught. Poor thing. Everyone has people who loved them. We must remember that that’s right, and it was only 12 blocks away. if your ass gets shot up or stabbed, harlem hospital is the place to go. removing bullets is like removing splinters to those trauma/er doctors. if you get shot up and for some reason end up at lenox hill, you’re probably not going to make it

  64. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Ok… all of you Gen z kids need to utilize Google and stop asking who he is.

At first I thought it was funny but this is like the 30th post asking this question and it’s annoying.

  65. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

exactly he killed his one of his baby mother at a concert because he thought she had snitched on him killing someone despite it not being true. Wayne deserves to be exactly where is he is. He was a homosexual serial killer and a menace to society.

  66. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

I remember alpo told a story about him witnessing wayne perry kidnap a woman and knocking her out. When she woke up she was in his van and she instantly knew that he was going to kill her and started to beg. Can you believe this man put on “a bitch is a bitch” by NWA on the radio in the car and started stabbing her to death. Then threw her body on the side of the road. This was the fate of a lot of his ex girlfriends.

  67. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

You do dirt, you get dirt. That’s what he get. How long he thought he was going to last walking around a free man, after all he did and misfortune he caused ppl families. Burn in hell!!!

  68. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

he was too chronologically old to be so disrespectful, but they say that when you get locked up, you stop your emotional growth. if you went in with a 20 something year old mind, 25 years later, you come out with a 20 something year old mind.

  69. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Facts that’s why I don’t see how any woman can date a man exclusively whose done hard prison time.. them mfs come out institutionalized and freaky as fuck! Not to mention chronic sex addicts.. yuck! Just weird .

  70. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Lawd…please dont let 50 produce a show about him and put it on Starz.

Tired of the drug/gangsta culture being highlighted.

  71. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Ok so what if he was gay????? Who the fuck believes the feds? Lmao goofy they do anything to ruin black men images! Everybody know the cops hated Wayne guts! If that was the case what does his sexuality have to do with anything? They tried to paint that gay narrative hoping Wayne wouldn’t have supporters.. WRONG 20 years later and mfs still screaming free da boy!

  72. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

    Thanks
    1
    LOL!

    1
    WTF!
    8
    Disagree!

  73. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

He probably wasn’t in the streets heavy but more like being the plug.. he had ppl doing his dirty work and bringing him back his hefty share while paying them peanuts. See it all the time with older street dudes.

  74. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

I watched a documentary about this white guy that was a childhood informant and when he decided to stop they charged him for selling the drugs he got from them and locked him up. Alpo may have been one because I don’t understand how you can confess to 14 murders and only get 25 years. Plus he was never charged with drug trafficking ever.

  75. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

You just gutted me :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Willacoohie, WI
    You won!
    LOL!

  76. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

someone who knew him in prison was on queensflip show, and he said that he didn’t fuck with wayne perry anymore cause he walked in a cell and wayne was having sex with another man and he said that he was surprised that wayne got down like that. sounds like wayne may have been taking it instead of giving it…

a fbi investigator says wayne had a male lover as well and may still have one in prison. would explain why he was violent, he was repressed sexually. wayne’s mama also mistreated him as a child so he had mommy issues

  77. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

He was a psychopath that snitched on his main hitman. He had the audacity to do interviews and show people where he laid bodies. I am surprised he lasted this long TBH.

So they’re saying the shooting happened on 151st & he drove to 147th after he was shot..
That explains why his front bumper was crashed.

And everybody always talking about what he did to Rich but he did to Rich what Rich did to a 13 year old boy, one of his close friends little brother, for something similar. And like Alpo Rich walked around in his friend’s face like he had done nothing.

  78. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

I believe they were a Jewish family. I know people think all dealers are low in intelligence but there are gifted children.

I feel like Alpo was one. With any gift you can use it for good or exploit it. He spent summers with them and all.

Plus how he was able to even get out and tell his story while inside – was a red flag

  79. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

I’ll never forget how nonchalant he always was when he described how he killed them. Rich trusted him and he killed him. He smiled in Domencio’s face and shook his hand while somebody shot him in the head. Alpo was truly psychotic.

The one with Sean branch??? I just watched it and I totally believe it.

and Wayne being a bottom would make sense just with the way he hated women and probably felt like he was in competition with them like some gay men do.

I know. I read that earlier in the thread, but he obviously got too comfortable. His enemies were waiting on him to completely let his guard down.

  80. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

    All facts!!

Interesting how it appears the window is sprayed with bullets . . . . so I guess they’ll be no proper viewing of the body . . . . . . Very Interesting?!?! Wasn’t it also said that he was placed earlier in witness protection? Wonder what the truth is.

  81. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Alpo being a shitty person or not his influence on Hip-Hop and Street fashion cannot be denied… Dapper Dan’s entire career took off because all of the Rappers, Athletes, and Dealers of that era wanted to dress like Alpo and Rich Porter who mainly wore custom Dapper Dan… and the fact that these European luxury brands are biting Dapper Dan’s formula decades later speaks to the level of influence of that era…. Dapper Dan is the father of Logomania which has proven to be a huge seller for these brands…. Hell there isn’t a NYC based Rapper 90’s rap album that doesn’t have at least one reference to Alpo and Rich Porter reference on wax… and there isn’t a NY Based rapper who hasn’t taken their moniker from Alpo or Rich Porter… which is why Roc-A-Fella Records was the ones to finance and create an entire movie based around their story…. I bet you Alpo’s ego was stroked off of that movie because it immortalized him in Pop Culture…

And everybody always talking about what he did to Rich but he did to Rich what Rich did to a 13 year old boy, one of his close friends little brother, for something similar. And like Alpo Rich walked around in his friend’s face like he had done nothing.

  82. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Hello, you have reached the cell phone of Alphonso R. I’m unable to answer now due to blood pumping issues. Please contact CNN for further assistance.

  83. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

He testified against Wayne Perry and gave up info on a lot of people in DC but, I don’t think he was ever in wit seg although they probably offered it.
I remember White Boy Rick or somebody talking about playing basketball with Alpo in prison and how Fat Cat had no respect for Alpo.

My older cousin used to run the streets with Po and company. He’s now a reformed OG and when he heard the news this morning, he was SHAKEN.

  84. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

    The thrill of it.

    The thrill of it.

Yup. Biblically 10 is a number of COMPLETION. So this is full circle.
    Very eerie

  85. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Why he thought he could walk around untouched, like all his damage was canceled, I do not know. It was like he was rubbing it in the face of all the people he did wrong to, like he was untouchable or didn’t care. Seemed like he was trying to continue being high profile on the streets like where he left off before he went to jail. Everyday they die, it was your turn this time b.

  86. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

    Who is he?
    What did he do?
    Who did he snitch on?

i went to that insta page for “blackradicals” after i saw they called him a snitch. it was bs like i expected and of course they have “black and brown” in their profile lol, i wonder who is the loser behind that page.

payback for rich porter, his little brother, and all the other victims. wayne perry is somewhere laughing right now. the streets never forget.

Alpo didn’t kill donnell porter their uncle did so for ransom from rich

Yup, she was either right at 70 or right before her b-day. If I remember it correctly, she got killed coming out of a butcher shop in the same way she use to set up a lot of her hits down in Miami.

Wow!!! He was MURDERED during the WITCHING HOUR on HALLOWEEN. :sidefrown

They came to collect their very own. He was demonic

Black Enterprise is getting on my dang nerves posting about celeb trash, stick to stocks!!!

    Don’t forget

Puff’s father worked for Frank Lucas and was killed similarly to Po.

Puff has allegedly ordered to have enough alleged things allegedly done so he allegedly knows how this alleged street shit works.

S dot C allegedly knows too!

Girl rarely do they get a wake-up call. If they do, it’s usually too late for them. A few of them do wise up and get out of that lifestyle but most don’t. I don’t have that much hope for 69 because he moves wayyy too reckless.

He died the way he lived. Is it a surprise? And he didn’t even try to start fresh where he would be unknown, he went to Harlem, how audacious is that??

  88. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

EXACTLY! I don’t know what it is about Harlem dudes… but they really be having a special type of arrogance to where they can’t stay away from Harlem after they do some dirt for some reason….

Alpo done Rich Porter so dirty, and snitched on damn near every dealer in Harlem so he automatically had a couple of bounty’s on his head… then he got out and returned like the shit never happened….

The same thing with Gerard Woodley(the dude that killed Harlem rapper Big L)… Big L was beloved in Harlem and everybody knew he killed him… he caught a case on the West Coast and did a bid there… after he got out returned to Harlem and within a year or two got his wig split in the middle of the night in Harlem….

They got a second chance and should have never stepped foot back in Harlem…. But they were to arrogant and comfortable….

I just thought of big l killer same shyt happened to him

The Hood during the 80s, 90s and early 00s was peak gang violence and crime. A lot of “gangsters and killers” were actually serial killers hiding under the gangster image.
The hoods have some of the most gruesome serial killers but they go unnotice due to street code.
It kind of remind me of Snoop and her hitter on the wire. They killed all those people and hid their bodies in abandoned house throughout BMORE

So true. It was rough in the inner cities. Even worse than today imo

That’s why they locked many of those gang leaders/drug lords up in the supermax.

  89. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Rayful… Damn i feel old… is he sill alive in prison!? I remember his ass was hidden in WITSEC in a prison somewhere
I’ve read both. I just saw in this thread he’s supposedly out but I remember reading that he was cooperating with the feds and in protection but wasn’t out.

    So, maybe it’s not him?

Martinez was released into a witness protection program in 2015 and was awaiting a new identity, Don Diva magazine reported. Even so, he surfaced in 2019 in Harlem, talking to a crowd of people on the street, video posted on Instagram shows.

Police identified the victim Sunday as Abraham Rodriguez, of Lewiston, Maine. That name may have been given to him as part of his witness protection program.

A high-ranking police source confirmed the victim was actually Alpo.
Hmm, interesting. If he voluntarily left the program, he must be back cooperating or found out (as if he didn’t know) there’s a hit or something on him and went back.

“A police source, who told the New York Post Martinez’s license plates were from Texas”

  90. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Po was not in Witsec. He had voluntarily left years ago. He was working a regular job upstate somewhere.

Exactly, he obviously just kept the IDs for whatever purposes but decided to continue living his life as himself.

THIS. News articles say he was awaiting a new identity in witness protection … a “public” murder of Aplo is the safest way for him to enter into that.

I kinda thought this for a second but it wouldn’t make sense to do it this way. No one was thinking about Alpo 24 hours ago. If the Feds wanted to make him disappear, and if he chose to comply, he would disappear and no one would be the wiser. Like I said upthread, Nicky Barnes died quietly I think in 2017 with no one knowing until his daughters admitted it to the media a few years later.

People are bound to try to make sure its really him, sneak pictures, leak info, etc. Alpo is not important enough for this to have been orchestrated as anything other than what it is: his past catching up to him.

  91. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Let’s not – this whole ADOS and non ADOS thing is a modern mess. No one cared like that back then plus New York is home to mostly Caribbean Blacks.

If anything they exploited his charisma, sociopathic tendencies show up as kids and the whites have been experimenting with Black children for generations

  92. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Idk if there are any conspiracy heads in here, but watch the whole Alpo story about his childhood very interesting.

Some people suspected that he was actually an agent.

Anywho, I’m supposed to be turning my life over to the Lord this Sunday. Not here with y’all and the Gangster Chronicles lol….. I’m lurking tho
That’s wild if that’s the case.. who is his family where are they and why the hell they let him get mixed up in so much shit. Like Wayne Perry Alpo seem like he was a lost twisted soul just like Wayne. They been by themselves since kids.. raised by wolves. Tryna navigate in a world that never gave a fuck about any one of them. Definitely products of their environment. That’s why him and Wayne prolly clicked so well when they first met. THEY THE SAME NIGKUH (minus Wayne not being a rat like ratpo) Wayne could’ve been out of jail right now if he just talked. The motherfucker wouldn’t even budge lol.

Nah. Metro Atlanta is huge. His arse could have been in Winder or Buford – something like that. New Yorkers that live in the A probably are there for a better life not chasing some old school sh*t from the 80’s & early 90’s that might mess up your life.
You would be sadly mistaken. They have a whole fuckin’ “Bronx Day” in the ATL at one of these larger parks and like 20,000 people be there…

He would have been identified because he’d keep coming into the city to party.

Hell Keith Sweat had the best biggest nightclub here in the 90s FFS. Word would have gotten out…nightclubs are money laundering fronts. Period. That’s why most close and seldom turn a profit.

Do you live here? Were you raised here in the 80s and 90s? Y’all kill me swearing y’all know how the ATL underworld really moved back in the grip and you really don’t.

  93. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Donnell‘s body was found a mile away from where Rich was found. When he was found, Rich was already buried by the family.

Apparently, Donnell was killed shortly after his finger was cut off. He died first. So technically, Rich trying to come up with the ransom money was all for naught.

Donnell was badly decomposed when he was found. This was late Jan 1990. Rich was killed and soon found early Jan 1990.

  94. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Could you all think of a reason for Alpo or the feds, or whoever, to fake his death?

I’m just asking because I had the weirdest dream last night. My aunt told me in the car that my father was killed and I started crying like crazy. She drove me to a house and I walked in a room and my dad was sitting in the bed smiling. She lied, and she would never tell me why she lied. It made me think about this situation a bit.

This Alpo guy is most definitely gone, but IF he was to fake his death, I wonder what would be a good reason? People still have some questions about this all, which the questions will probably remain until a suspect is found. Something does feel a little off, but I guess the days and weeks will tell.

No reason at all considering he was in WitSec. He could’ve literally been whisked away in a private jet with a new identity and dropped off somewhere no one would recognize him. No need for the theatrics, a fake death is just more to cover up and a greater risk.

I will say tho… what happens to Rich little brother was so unsettling. A young boy, who had no intention of being involved in this shit just to have his own uncle kidnap and kill him due to his jealousy of Rich, his nephew. It’s a sad story and no child deserves that. It’s just sick, they really tortured that poor boy

  95. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Yeah theres no reason for him to fake his death.
Unless he was still working with the Feds, or whoever, by keeping an eye out on what was going on in the streets. That’s the only thing that makes sense to me.

I just watched something on youtube about him, only watched a few seconds, and they talked about how everyone loved him growing up. They said he was extremely easy to get along with and his mom had him in camps etc, that he would go off to in the summer where he hung with a lot of white kids. They also said that he wanted to go the the marines then be a cadet.

Someone also mentioned that Alpo wasn’t black at all, he was just a dark skinned Puerto Rican, but he spoke spanish well, and his mom would defend him against people on the block, who were most likely black, back in the day. IMO, that explains partially why he wasn’t loyal to any of them guys. He wasn’t black and there was no telling what was said in his household. In my thinking, to continue on with his disloyalty, I wouldn’t have been surprised if he was still cooperating with “them people” especially considering that was part of his dream to be in those spaces growing up. Idk, just a thought.

Alpo is very much black lol. His mother looks like a mixed Puerto Rican, so I’m guessing his father was a black rican. All his features scream black to me. Puerto Rico is very multiracial place so I wouldn’t be surprised if he does have black in him

His crew kicked around a decapitated head like it was a soccer ball. That bama and his whole crew was crazy as all hell.

OMG!!! I was just watching that documentary on YouTube… Preacher had the dude murked dismembered his body but kept his head and put it on a stick to intimidate others in the organization to stay on his good side… apparently the head was of a guy in the crew named Malik that they told the FBI was the person who actually killed Donnell Porter…. The Donnell Porter killing is where that crew fucked up because that was the case that led to their takedown by the FBI… All of them could rot in hell for putting their greed at the expense of an innocent child’s life… that poor baby :Cry

The preacher crew was wild if it wasn’t for Whitney arse having the coin she did Bobby would of been dead. He owed someone in Jersey a debt ( drugs). The Preacher Crew held him beat him TF up. Smfh that crew that was wild cause Clarence had his kids doing hits and his gf.

Alpo said he would always see Rich’s little brother outside getting into shit he wasn’t supposed to, aka being too grown and around stuff he shouldn’t have.
I don’t know what y’all thumb down my post for. The little boy was around shit he shouldn’t have been around. PERIOD!
There is a picture of him with a champagne bottle, for Christ’s Sake.

BRUUUUUH!!!! NAUUUUR!!!! Now he HAD to be a working informant undercover because ain’t no muthafucking WAAAAY!!!!
Exactly. At this point, I think he was a flat out cop but something ain’t right.

Also, I wonder why he had not gotten his car bullet proofed. The man still had money. Not sure how he had it but it’s obvious that he had it. Also, he has had some many people killed via a car, I am shocked that he had not thought of the fact that he needed his car fortified as he drove around in it and people started knowing it was him in it.

  96. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

If he just corner boy amounts of shit, that is no big deal.

The street prices are so low in NYC that it is really not worth it.

You can make way more money working downtown in a legitimate job.
Either way it’s risky. He’s a known rat and dope has always been cheap. It’s a dirty drug.

there wont be a funeral the internet is saying. a cremation only. this is very strange……
Hmmm, that’s some government informant shit. He’s bitch made and in witness protection now, with a new identity, heavy cosmetic surgery and new finger prints. I see you CIA/FBI/DHS

Malik. They kept his head there in the basement and it was on a stick. Malik is who Johnny Apple, Donnell’s uncle, said that killed Donnell. He was part of the janitor crew inside of preachers crew.
basically they got rid of him so he wouldnt implicate them just like alpo got rid of gary after he was in the car with him and rich….encourage your sons, nephews, cousins to want better for themselves and not be on the streets. this is really crazy.

Yeah but in that C-11 documentary, I think it was basically them tryna weed people out. So what they said was preacher would call them for a meeting and they would either thumbs up if the member needed to stay or thumbs down if they needed to die. Malik had just did some drive by where a man was shot in the car and his wife and kids survived and that’s when they decided to take him out. All of these people were in kill or be killed mode. There was no love in the streets. I think had he gotten caught, yes he would’ve flipped and told because there was an informant from they crew who opened up the floor gates because he feared for his life after Malik.

  97. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Gatted 5x in a 2017 truck with TX plates. SMH, not gangsta. Did too much talking, liability, dead man walking. Got eaten.
Someone set him up. Someone from inside the lounge knew he was gonna be there & was watching Alpo, then maybe told the shooter when he was heading out. Or the shooter could’ve followed him to the lounge & waited however long for Alpo to leave.

Preachers crew was wild af. They would extort ppl like crazy get a girl to go to an establishment half stuffed duffle bag she’d get robbed. Once shes robbed they’d blame the guys that own the establishment now he owes money for shi he didn’t do. Added Clarence snitched on his son he and his sister was petrified of his father he was such a demon they couldn’t say no.

  98. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Someone probably set him up. He was leaving the lounge and someone from inside must’ve let the shooter know he was coming out. How else did they know he was gonna be there?
seems likely there was some coordination, but doesn’t preclude spontaneity.
if its young bucks they’ll be bragging, if it was hitters then they might already be gone and we won’t get more tea

all that said i don’t think there will be war, or major retaliation except finger pointing and minor use of his death as justification for conflict already in the works

  99. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

That ain’t true at all…he named some Harlem dudes. He may not have ratted on all of them the way he did with DC thugs but he most definitely named a few names.

I finally watched Paid in Full last night (it’s free on Pluto TV) and I can’t believe
    Spoiler: I ain’t a snitch
they tried to make it seem like Az snitched on Alpo…damn…I am sure Az didn’t appreciate that at all. People who take these based on a true story movies to heart would get the wrong idea.

In the end, it really shows that the snitch bullshit is stupid. They have killed people for snitching and yet when their ass is on the line they run and tell that to protect their own situation.

They put a whole neighborhood in fear after terrorizing us with drugs, violence, and murder and threaten to kill us if we tell, only to turn around and do it to their own.

And I can understand why the “honorable ones” get mad. Whatever shit went down to get you those cars, jewels, houses, fancy clothes, etc., you should keep your fucking mouth shut. You were in on it together and you knew it was a risk. Take your bid and keep it cute. A lot of dudes are rotting away because they actually believed in that code.

But for me, the more lowlives rotting away the better for the community so rat away. Murder each other ’til their ain’t nobody left and leave innocent people out of it.

Unfortunately, there will always be somebody.

The FEDS are evil for cutting deals with these dudes in exchange for more names. I get why, but that man should have never been lowed back on the street.

    Ever.

Wood Harris said in his VLAD interview that Azie didn’t like that part of the film where they made it seem like he set up Alpo to get caught by the FEDS neither… they clearly took some creative liberties with the film but that’s Hollywood for you….

I had no idea that Harvey Weinstein was involved with the production of the film neither because Wood Harris says that Dame Dash production disagreements lead to the film not having the critical success that it could have so this film was definitely supposed to be a big mainstream film and could have done huge things for Cam’ron as far as acting opportunities were concerned….

  100. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

And she hasn’t posted on IG in a couple days either and she’s usually on there daily. Wow.
im disappointed in her because she was dealing with (1)a rat, (2)a sociopath, and (3)someone who had enemies. she couldve put her and her adult childrens’ safety on the line. what if she had went with him to that party? at her age, what is the appeal about street dudes? you have a academy thats doing semi well, a clothing line at a department store, still styling celebs, and you chose to be with a marked man from the 80s? who was alledgedly still about that life? what!! you risk your rep in the industry by who you deal with. just when her name is getting back out there again, this is not the type of stuff she need her name attached too. she so pretty but doesnt have the best taste in men.

there are cameras all over nyc yet nothing caught this?

i definitely think cameras caught it, they’re just not going to release it. Harlem has cameras everywhere now. Apartment building corners, stop lights, bodegas. How you think they’ve been capturing all them shootouts in 4K. They probably got the shooter license on one of the street cameras too.

Would not be surprised if it was a rental or stolen vehicle though.

50 probably got people typing fast asf as we speak.

50 Cent is the Tyler Perry of black male trauma. And Tyler Perry is the Tyler Perry of black female trauma. Both are hella problematic.

Anywhos, when I saw the car, I was wondering why his drivers window was rolled up yet the passengers windows were rolled down.

Which made me think someone set him up because if you talking to someone outside from the drivers you gonna roll down the passengers side. But now they say he was throwing drugs out the window it makes sense. But I’m curious about why the rear passenger window was rolled down as well.

  103. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Forreal I had no idea she was fucking with him but it could explain how he was at some of these Hollywood events… why would anyone want him and his bad energy in their space???…. I bet Alpo had a whole ass harem because the Birds were definitely happy when he got out and was back on them streets…. Some of them even writing “Miss You Daddy” in his comments….
Misa was also allegedly trying to secure him a deal or had secured him a deal for his own documentary, as told by him. It’s either done or to be done and now since he’s dead, I’m positive it’s gonna be pitched to Netflix (which was mentioned). How much you wanna bet Misa will be named a producer or exec producer on it lol.

  104. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Y’all gonna read and listen. The uncle admitted that was all HIM. His uncle. Alpo is a monster but he didn’t have anything to do with the kidnapping and murder of Donnell. That was Uncle Johnny Apples and Preacher trying to shake money out of Rich because the uncle was envious. This came straight from the uncle.
Thanks I knew all of that. I dont care what crimes they admitted to or not… I dont trust 100% of anything a criminal says. lol

Everything you said is 100% @NY_Mami. You stay hitting the nail on the head. He couldn’t leave those streets alone. And the streets finally got him. What was that line from Raising Kanan? “The streets need a body.” For all Alpo knows, there may be others in Witsec in that building or area, and he may have compromised other protected witnesses identity. But it’s obvious, he would rather die in Harlem, than have lived in Witness protection.
I just saw a good ass episode of American Justice that talks about Witness Protection. A high percentage of them can’t stand the isolation and end up leaving.

Not only did Richard’s uncle, Johnny, have something to do with Donnell being killed, Johnny also had something to do with the murder of some man by the name of James Taylor, which he got arrested for in 1996.
Richard’s Uncle had the nerve to kidnap his own nephew & have him tortured by Preacher crew, then years later, say he’s scared they’ll come after he and his family :cautious:

  107. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

I’ve been obsessed with this story. A couple things…

    1. In Azies book he mentioned that Lynette Bell was 13 and he had been trying to get with her… and Lynette gave him the green light that day. Azie was 23 at the time. Predator. I also believe there is more to him getting shot than he says. The men also adamantly deny the crime and say they Azie and the girl are lying.

    2. I also find it Kevin Chiles story to be weird. He knows exactly why the girl went to his mothers house. Who knows he could of been messing with her.
All drug dealers use to do is stand on the fucking corner sizing up teen girls, teen girls impressed by that chump change shit like sneakers and clothes. That was very common back in the day

  108. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

My inspector gadget ass just called Harlem Hospital & asked if they admitted a patient under his real name and his alias, and the woman told me no for both names. She said there was no admission or discharge under those names.
She “maybe he’s not under his name”..
When someone is shot in this manner they don’t admit them under their name. It’s under a code name.

If he just corner boy amounts of shit, that is no big deal.

The street prices are so low in NYC that it is really not worth it.

It is a big deal because who in their right mind would supply a well known rat anything minor or major.. it’s hard for me to believe he was copping out of New York idc who you are or how old are you mfs atleast knew OF RATPO & his trifling ways… he must was copping from some YTs out in maine that was half his age..

  109. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

We need that from Chrissy I’m tired of Tee’s washed up ass she’s really messy and tired

Yeah and she’s salty at Rich for whatever reason lol. He probably wasn’t interested

Definitely an 80s bird but I respect her for always being with the connect and not the help

What story do yall think Chrissy has to tell? All these years I had the impression that she was a main girl of Alpo’s but that doesn’t seem to be the case judging by this thread and hearing him mention all the other women.

Like did Chrissy really date him seriously? Or was she linked to someone else? I don’t really know her story like that. Im more interested in the chick Keith Sweat was sweating and the Michelle lady in DC.

  110. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

I feel this way too, but I wonder why go to this extreme to put him back in WP? Why couldn’t he just disappear?

Also, someone mentioned that Alpo was/is a Gemini. I posted about Gemini’s and mutable signs before being the least likely to want to get old and age.

Although he was what, 55, he still had a young spirit. It seems somewhat odd if he would be willing to go into complete hiding and age alone without his family(mom and sister). Without anyone really. It just seems too boring and lonely of a life that way. What, I wonder, would be in it for him to go back into WP is my only question.
His mom and sister are deceased.

Yes, I know. Thats why I dont see how he would want to go back into witness protection with absolutely nobody or the lifestyle. Like what would be in it for him at this point I wonder?! Thats the only thing holding me back from thinking they faked his death.

he called in on one of her interviews before they got “cool” cause she was talking shit about him too.

she was SHOOK , it looked like the blood drained from her body.

And she was definitely in love with Baby Maine lol.

  111. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Something in the milk ain’t clean. It’s been said numerous times Po travels wearing a vest. How the fuck would 5-6 bullets to the chest and a chin graze kill him then? You think he’d be in Harlem not wearing it? Of all places?

Also, Popperazzi Po, Alpos alleged other son, not Gumby (he claims to have been DNA tested) make a statement in the daily news that gave me pause.

Scroll to the last two lines.
How the fuck would he know who did or didn’t do it. This is getting more sus by the moment I’ve asked for footage of a body, nobody has it. It’s not on yt. This is looking like a faked death, maybe to go back into witsec bc he rat and rolled on someone else, and to generate interest in selling the film he and Misa created.

  112. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Wait she did that? Wtf? So fuck hippa? What did she say after she looked?

Maybe he didnt die bc his injuries didn’t sound necessarily fatal. Especially on a guy who wears a vest everywhere. He didn’t get hit in the head, but in his chest/arm. Ppl don’t die from arm wounds. Is he in a new WPP?

Go see my last post something ain’t right

All the weird shit started while jigga was getting inducted in RRHOF earlier in the evening. Weird ig posts, certain ppl who are online all day and acts who post 24/7 went radio silent, ig posts about ppl related to alpo/rich/domencio/silk were going up online before the shooting was even reported or widely known about

What is really going on here? I need detectives to iron this out

  113. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Girl why you here all these days later quoting me with this nonsense? :sidefrown where have I said in this thread that Wayne was “my man” :sidefrown I don’t fuck with his ass either. Is Alpo your man or cousin? Fuck both of them. You quoting the wrong font. Only one person is in here advocating for Wayne and it’s not me.

  114. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

I don’t think Alpo was playing in anyone face but I do think it was back to his old personality that does NOT fly with these young dudes coming up. I would bet dollars to doughnuts that a young man shot him..a man young enough to be his son.

But then again, that’s how OG’s usually get killed when they come out of jail and think the streets are the same.

They end up either in a wheelchair or dead. These young boys ain’t playing, the same way Alpo wasn’t playing when he was young.

  115. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

I think padussy was his thing period. He HAD to be a sex addict. I think him hollerin’ at Kaileigh proves exactly that. And I do think he messed with men too. He said in an interview on GunRuleTV that he was really cool with some ghey guy, Manny, and that Manny was a really good cook and would cook for him. Said he was over Manny’s a lot. According to Po, the Feds caught him leaving Manny’s crib and then leaving in a car that his wife was driving. They chased them briefly but ended up taking them both into custody. But that’s when his life of crime on the streets came to an end. I personally don’t know no straight ninjaz, especially straight street ninjaz that would go over a ghey dude’s house and let him cook for them, regularly lol. I’m just saying!! That’s when I started thinking Po was sus. I think just like Aaron Hernandez or Wayne Perry’s crazy azzes, he struggled with his sexuality. Trying to be hard core gangstas in the street but struggling with liking men which was TOTALLY against the code, especially in those days. I think it made all them ninjaz the cold, callous, murderous people they were. Their biggest enemy were themselves. They could never reconcile the man they portrayed in the streets with the man they really were and I think that took a huge toll on their mental well-being. Their Yin and Yang balance was totally off!

I think that’s how most gangsters and rappers are in general. Most of them are gay, so they gravitate to something that makes them look tough to others. That’s why people don’t believe it at all. I personally believe most of these rappers are gay. They started out gay, so they went into rapping to seem hard. They didn’t get turned out

It’s him telling his friend nik to snap a pic of the uhaul because he may need it one day. Interesting
The temp tag thing is weird also him even taking that truck to go to the club is weird if it was specifically for work n he wasn’t exactly trying to keep a low profile

  117. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Not sure how to feel about all of this.. I used to sneak off with him for a lil bit from 2019 & during the whole 2020 & just remained good friends on up until his murder. Damn Abe.. Po. Still unreal to me.. a whole week later. Last time we spoke was beginning of the month..

Yes he was crazily fun I thought he was lying when he told me he was 55 he was tooooooooo youthful. We last spoke around October 8th? I’m in Texas until December we were so supposed to hang out once I touched back down (Jersey). He’s a character, he was even willing to come down to Texas talking about he wanted to meet the people who raised me “give me the word and I’ll book a first class trip right now” (true fashion AB way) just wow.

Well judging by who he was tryna get at in Maine, this man was the United Nations of manwhores!! I just personally don’t know any straight street ninjaz (and I know a lot of them) that would be willing to hang out with and let a ghey ninja cook for them, that’s all I’m sayin’. Ninjaz in DC must be built differently.

  118. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

So it sounds like you knew him as Abraham. So many questions—- When did you find out his real identity? After my infamous friend passed away, I didn’t believe it. I called his cell expecting him to answer and say it was a lie. It still hurts thinking about it today.

  119. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Wow the disrespect…. This man has a whole new wife now. The kids these two share together don’t even give him this much praise on ig.

kevin Chiles- new your drug lord. He claims Alpo and Azie were rats and that their names were mentioned in his paperwork

SN: she also posted a corny video but too large for me to upload

Like everybody else couldn’t believe it. It’s like he did a whole 360. He was so nice! Very giving and like I said extremely fun. The couple years I’ve known him he’s never been moody or sometiming… never made me feel uncomfortable. He was always in a good mood. When we first met we straight clicked. His past was so scary.. yet I always felt protected around him. He always like to FaceTime too. Even if you didn’t feel like being bothered you always made time for him type of dude.. living a life knowing he’s not here is going to be a hard pill to swallow for everybody who knew him for sure. I remember when I told him I was into women he was like “that’s some fly shit because I am too” we HAD SOME GREAT TIMES! He was definitely my fun guy.

    why

Because it is WILD AF!!! Imagine getting a new neighbor… going out and having fun with him… riding around in his truck… having sushi dinner dates… and playing Mario cart afterwards… just to suddenly find out via the newspapers that he was brutally murdered in the same truck that you once rode in all because of his past as one of the most notorious drug kingpins in the 80’s… I know all of his friends in Maine that didn’t know about his past have to be shell shocked….

It’s going to be a difficult and confusing time for the people that knew Alpo and his past and loved him… and the people that only knew “Abraham”…. his loved ones that knew his past can’t mourn him publically… and the ones that knew “Abraham” are mourning him publically but are left with questions….

  120. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

The lady at the Patient Records desk told me he never came to Harlem Hospital.
Can someone explain this to me!

  121. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

In the New York Undercover thread I believe Wayne Perry is the sociopath who allegedly raped his own daughter and while in prison kept a white boyfriend sex slave?

  122. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

But this shit was riveting to say the least. With family from BK I always end up down the rabbit hole in these NY threads.

Anyway, my (unprofessional) opinion is that he knew he was on borrowed time and chose to live it out on his own terms. The skydiving, yachting, partying etc. seems like he wanted to savor each moment. I can see a man that spent most of his youth in prison trying to make up for lost time, but given the comment from his “friend” in Maine about Gangs and Cartels having money on his head, and the fact that he was supposed to be living discreetly, just makes more sense to me that he knew they would get to him eventually.

  123. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Cartels is a bit much… smh
I guess when you live that life it’s never ending, because why tf would a cartel (from God knows where) want any problems with him?
It probably stems back from where he got his drugs from when he first got into the game, as a youth.
When you cooperate with the feds, you have to tell all of that info.

I would venture to say theres a lot about this man we don’t know. I would have loved to read the book or doc he was working on. I also think him taking the nissan for a while and also “trucking” means he was dipping in his “old” lifestyle.

  124. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

You can’t tell me Justin Combs doesn’t look just like this man.

I told this to my mom and she became really defensive.

I’ve never believed he was Puff’s son after seeing Christian and the twins.
but why befriend a man that slept with and possibly impregnated your chick and hire him to be your bodyguard? and if wolff really is the father, im side eyeing him because he older than diddy so he wouldve been about 24/25 dealing with misa whereas diddy was like 21/22. yall got to understand that diddy and misa werent together that long before she got pregnant, only like a year. she was still in high school. diddy had just dropped out of howard when misa got pregnant. his actual college gf was at his howard event when he was given that honorary degree. i dont when wolff wouldve came into the picture because it was my understanding that diddy knew wolff since the 80s.

  125. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

He really didn’t have a choice in the beginning b/c Wolf was his muscle and saving his ass left and right. Wolf was a street legend in his own right with the valley mob crew. Diddy started bad boy with Wolf and Corey’s drug game money.
I personally think Justin looks like his mother down to the ex-small teeth.

  126. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Has Alpo ever mentioned Wayne Perry’s sexuality. Alpo was always very detailed about everything but I’ve personally never seen anything where he mentions this and he HAD to have known.

As to Alpo talking about Manny knew how to cook really good…he was talking about cooking drugs!

Alpo’s GF was in the mix that same day when he left Manny’s house and was caught. His GF was with him.

Alpo’s demise and entire life revolved around women. Personally, I believe he was killed due to a woman.
Never heard Alpo was selling crack. Only heard of him moving bricks. So why would he care that Manny was a good cook??? Also, the wife wasn’t in the house with him. He says in the interview him and Manny were outside in a Cadillac waiting for her to pull up.

He, like other dealers back then, sold it all….

According to the affidavit, Nathaniel Watkins (Rich Porter’s cousin), Martinez’s co-defendant in the Alexandria, Virginia case, told the FBI in 1989 he was present when Martinez gave $300,000 to a fellow drug dealer in a Crystal City, Virginia hotel room and instructed the man to take the money to New York.

Watkins told the FBI that the drug dealer rode to New York in a limousine, which he and his girlfriend followed, and they went to a Harlem apartment where they met Martinez, who had flown to New York. Sherrille Gilbert, Nathaniel Watkins and several witnesses testified that Martinez was a supplier of crack and that members of the drug ring were involved in several killings.

  127. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

You must be young?? Cocaine was turned into crack in the 80’s and 90’s and sold cheap. Hence why it became profitable in lower income areas because everyone could afford it. In the 70’s and 80’s pure cocaine was very expensive to buy and was seen as a luxury social drug. A cheaper form of cocaine was cooked into crack using various ingredients and it was potentate and sold in cities across America. Alpo started buying kilos of cocaine and selling or having people make crack out of it. What’s interesting is crack became popular amongst teenagers back then, its now seen as low class, trashy and dated but back in the 80’s it was the “it” drug.

Manny was one of the stash houses where the drug was stored and made. I’m sure Alpo had several but this one just happened to be the one he was caught leaving and yes his wife was picking him up.

  128. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Alpo was living his second childhood seem like Misa still had a rush for that street shit even at that big grown age x I’m sure po had her feeling so good even tho he was a slime bag.. she had a choice of men and been single for years until she ran across po. I gotta feeling she was probably the one who reached out to him when he first got out or who knows probably was talking to him while he was in there.

I’m leaning more on she holla’d once he got released and touched New York!

  129. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Someone up thread said that sociopaths and psychopaths are dangerous BECAUSE of their charm; it seems like Alpo wielded his smile like his best weapon. No wonder he had bitches all up and down the eastern seaboard. Even his male friend is gagging. As far as the danger element, is that charm just another weapon or do they sometimes have split personalities and seemingly authentic double lives?

Nah, he was a straight up narcissistic sociopath. It was the narcissistic part that got him killed. It didn’t have to end that way for him at all. He could have been in a Midwest/Western US town and lived out his life peacefully as Abraham. But narcissists need attention (good or bad) and adoration like we need air to breathe. He was the very embodiment of narcissism.

  130. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

I just find it strange that his friends & kids have just gone on about their lives, except Misa. The rapper son is posting like nothing has happened and even his friends (public friends) Mel and Harlem Gatsby are just living it up after your friend was killed.

Time stands still for no one.

  131. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

    Lord.

This pictures been floating around for days now, and I had no idea it was a mugshot until now.

I think this is one of the reasons why I’ve become so fascinated with his story, because on the surface he doesn’t look like he’s capable of any of the crimes hes committed in the past.

  132. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

A interesting story I came across is that Po helped D-Ferg (A$ap Ferg’s father)without hesitation if he needed bread because he was designing etc

Jamaican mafia…ain’t no snitching and too many of em in NYPD that could stymie the case’s investigation. She took out another black woman…they don’t give a shit. Let it have been some white woman from Manhattan. They’d be on yard right now with Interpol looking for that bitch.

Then again…I firmly believe some people deserve to be lifted up outta their shoes…so let me wait for the facts/details. Apparently it wasn’t over the man who got set up.

Oh they finally caught that girl in Jacksonville, Florida

Misa is embarrassed. This dude had chicks all over while it seems like she waited years just to be with him. Birds always get embarrassed.

  135. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Bam deserves to be in prison or put down. He created a lot of those severely damaged men uptown through his abuse.

Taking advantage of kids from broken homes.

Hassan said he has pictures of a lot of well known people in his file. Where’s the conspiracy theorists? Latch on the true intentions of the elite and how BAM spear headed hip hop and performed sex rituals on children
Why is he not in prison? I feel like it’s a well known secret in the industry but nobody will touch him.

  136. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Hassan explains on Math Hoffa that the lawsuit has to precede the criminal case.

He’s in court now, a 12 year old has come forward.
    There’s hope.
I hope so because the fact that this pedo is running around her still is disturbing to me. I want Ronald Savage and all the other boys to get justice.

He did. I wish I screenshot it. Something told me he was going to delete. He said something along the lines of ” what’s understood doesn’t need to be explained”

  139. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

So, boom im driving down 135th an whats parked outside of the 32nd precinct??? Al’s truck, i couldn’t believe it, it sat so high that you have to get up on it to see the inside. I couldn’t believe they had it right there, to me it’s like its on display..!!

  140. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

You can call it what you want. She may be. But I can probably bet a farm that I don’t own that she’s been through, seen more, and had more access to a lot more than most of us have. So you cannot discount her experience in the game. Whatever y’all call her Misa is still very respected in her industry (fashion) and the hip industry as big part of the culture. Her name holds weight by itself.
Which makes her look even more stupid for taking up time with Alpo, imagine if she was in that car with him?

it looks like she got her butt done also. She needs to stop messing with her face

She looks like A lion in the face
She def did do surgery in her bottom area smh you can tell by her thighs all that surgery is crazy it don’t make these women like younger at all I wish they would stop

Alpo’s death must’ve really affected her. Wouldn’t be that big of a deal if this were common, but Misa usually posts on ig every 2-3 days .. she hasn’t posted since the end of Oct. Hopefully she’s okay. I wonder how long they’ve dealt with one another?
I’m selfish y’all. If I cant have him nobody can…so God took him away from all of us.

Too bad L won’t speak on Po like that. I know he got some good stories. He liked this pic back in 2019. View attachment 3094237
Word lol LL had other responsibilities than putting money on Po’s books and he only said on drink champs he use to Chill with him and Rich back then now he didn’t mention he looked up to those guys as far as style or stories but we know back in the days dealers was getting way more bread than artists and artists was looking up to the dealers even to the point low key considering hustling on the low for money or clothes etc

  142. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Are you from Harlem and have you heard from anyone that he faked it? I’m not believing he was involved with some trans person and that’s why he was killed.
No I just peep comments from people on YouTube and social media that say that only Harlem streets know the real or something lol

  143. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Whoever this man is I’m just trying to figure out why is it in the celebrity and gossip section instead of regional gossip? This man is considered a celebrity? He just sounds like a big time thug/criminal from the little I’ve read. I guess I need to do some research on him.
This is America, where thugs & serial killers are famous. Ted Bundy, Frank Lucas, Nicky Barnes and now Alpo Martinez. They’re infamous

  144. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Brian Glaze Gibbs posted the dude’s pic that allegedly killed him on one of his YouTube videos. I think his girl sleeping with Alpo was purely incidental to the killing. If it happened the way they sayin’ it happened, he killed him for slapping him in front of people. I don’t know not a single ninja that’s not going to react violently over being slapped by a man, publicly OR privately. Moral of the story, for every action there is a reaction. Know the potential and probable consequences of your actions before you act. Clearly something Alpo was never good at.
Why did he slap him? Was he messing up business or did Alpo just want to humiliate him?

If in fact he did it because of a slap, that was cowardly. Alpo smacked him, so he should’ve retaliated in his face, not doing drive bys or walk ups. That’s like sucker punching someone. I hope they catch him.

  145. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

They sayin’ he approached Alpo about sleepin’ with his girl and Alpo slapped the piss out of him in front of a lot of people. Dude caught back up with him eventually. But if you out here slappin’ grown ass men in public, you deserve whatever you got comin’ to you. PERIOD. If this dude a coward, what is Alpo??? He stayed luring people somewhere and having them shot in the back of the head. Matta fact, most of the bodies he copped to weren’t even his, they were WP’s or someone affiliated with WP.

Everyone wants to create this deranged killa persona like this man was out here shootin’ people willy-nilly when he was settin’ people up and havin’ them killed by someone else. WP was actually the deranged killa. All Alpo did was steal Wayne’s story and make it his own. Out here stealin’ personas like he was other ninjaz’ padussy. The only murder I’ve ever heard him talk about in detail where he actually pulled a gun and killed someone was Rich’s. And even in Rich’s case, he still had another ninja tryna do his dirty work. That’s next level cowardice.

I feel sorry for Alpo’s kids, that’s it and that’s all. Because that ninja didn’t GAF enough about them to do better, even after 25 years in prison. Instead of trying to atone for all the death and destruction directly or indirectly attributed to him, he CHOSE to do the same dumb shit at 55 that he was doing at 20. That makes him AND anyone else doin’ the same shit a certified platinum FOOL.

  146. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Alpo didn’t steal anyone’s persona. It’s not that deep.. he had to cop out to those murders because he had something to do with them.
How many times you see someone talmbout his 14 bodies to bolster the belief that he was this prolific killer that HE wanted everyone to believe he was???? My point, which you entirely missed is that you can’t call the dude that allegedly killed him a coward without calling Alpo one. Yall real quick to call out other ninjaz for the same shit Alpo was doin’. Brian Glaze Gibbs is a snitch but this whole entire thread is about one of the most infamous snitches in the game. Dude a coward for coming back later and killin’ Alpo but Alpo havin’ a good friend shot in the back of the head isn’t???? I don’t know what your connection is to this man and why you consistently try to defend the indefensible but my eyes are wide open, not my legs. The difference between me and you is that I tell ninjaz what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. You can carry on now with lustin’ after ninjaz pushin’ up daisies, respectfully. Lol

  147. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

I never called anyone a coward so why you telling me all of this dumb shit? I honestly just skimmed thru cause you ain’t saying nothing. I’m not reading all of this. I ain’t carrying shit or lusting after anyone. I made a simple statement. Gtfo the thread if you don’t like the n%gga. You seem upset. You’re very argumentative, too.

Yeah that font is obessessed with the deranged killer she kept questioning me for calling him what he was! That mofos Alpo is sick AF! He got what he put out! I dislike when these women put him on pedestal !

Alpo couldn’t be too cowardly because, according to you, he slapped the dude. That’s face to face contact, and shooting is always cowardly when you have a chance to throw hands with your equal.

Furthermore, I don’t find snitching cowardly at all. In fact, I think it’s smart. There’s no way those guys wouldn’t have snitched if they caught them first, because there’s no love or loyalty in the streets.

A lot of people told I’m so tired of people on the sidewalk obsessing over snitching when it fact most of these people that keep bringing that up are civilians and not in no type of streets or never had been in the streets to even fix they lips about what a person decided to do with any situation they are in at the end people can talk that all mighty shit what to do or not to do when at the end it’s all about self plus many would’ve told if the feds was gonna put them on the death penalty !

He defintely wasn’t for throwin’ hands when it came to Rich or anyone else he had killed was he??? Yall killin’ me with the lame defenses of this dude, seriously. And for what??? Help me understand what motivates you to simp so hard for a man you didn’t know…..hell even one you might have known!! That you would throw every ounce of common sense and self respect out the door for this man??? I want to understand, I am trying to understand. As a mother of a daughter, in all sincerity, I want all the women in this thread to know that you deserve better. You deserve a man that will treat you as an equal and not just a subservient piece of ass. I wish I could give some of yall hugs smh.

Alpo had all his victims shot BY SOMEONE ELSE so what is exactly your point?!?! Reading and comprehension are fundamental AF. Where did you see me say snitching was cowardly??? I haven’t given an opinion on snitching in this entire thread. I said people will call out other ninjaz for the same shit Alpo was doing such as snitching and then gave you an example. Yall really out here with Simple Jack IQs!!!

You seem awfully emotionally committed to hating this dude, as if he personally did something to you. Well, he did nothing personally to me, so the only ones who should feel so strongly about how someone else should feel about him are the people he did something to.

And for the record, I’m a lesbian. He wouldn’t be on my radar. So yes, you and the Black women you want to “do better” should go right ahead and do just that.

LOL. I’m the one that’s emotional about this man but not the women lustin’ over some peen they never had??? FOH. Every single time in this thread that someone has said something unfavorable about Alpo, women put on their capes and fly to his rescue lol. And yes, I dislike anyone that plays a part in destroying communities, ESPECIALLY black ones. No one cares that you’re a lesbian but you sound like you need a hug too boo boo.

  150. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Hmmm maybe. We don’t know what kind of student he was academically nor if he was learning disabled. He was only a softee with women though, he clearly hated men and had penis envy.

My questions are what happened to Flaco and did the nutty gene come from their mother or father’s side? Did he and the other two have the same father?

I look at Ahmaud Arberry’s clearly intellectually disabled father and wonder wtf do women be thinking dating slow men who can’t read, write or do math! No wonder the child was born mentally challenged!

Po has a water head. Head too damned big, probably something brain defective at birth. Forceps injury maybe. Loss of oxygen. The sister looks kinda off to me too. Their heads and jawlines aren’t shaped right. Could be island inbreeding though. Bad genetics!

  151. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

The truth finally comes out because remember when Ears made it sound like Fuzzy was a neighborhood pass around? Come to find out..HE was the one trying to shame Po out of being with her because HE wanted her to himself alone!

Wow. See how men will downplay a woman in an attempt to keep another man from moving in? lol

New York is the fashion Capitol of the world
My point is, most fabrics and clothing were imported from Third World nations, the Italian and Jew mafias controlled the garment district.

So who or what influenced NYC urban fashion for those with money? We would see the styles on Rap music videos but those clothes took forever to make it to the South.

When those same fashions played out in NYC, the leftovers made it down to the Southern cities late as fuck, wasn’t no Ross or TJ Maxx in the late 80s to get stuff two seasons old.

Yes the mafia definitely controlled all of that…I agree with your statement. I was only emphasizing the impact & importance of New York

Dolph died after Alpo and had a funeral and more info that has came out. Can’t find nothing on Alpo’s murder.

Did Boosie speak on Alpo at all when he was alive? Every since his death, it seems a great deal of guys have developed “diarrhea of the mouth”, and it’s kinda … lame.

Anyone have a backstory on Alpo and Vlad? Why did he want an interview with him so badly? He’s oddly infatuated with Alpo.

I heard Vladtv wanted to interview Alpo but he only wanted to pay him $5000…Alpo said he felt very disrespected that he would only offer him $5000 for his story….I guess since then Vlad has been upset with Alpo…..Vladtv should of let Alpo know how he felt for turning him down when he was alive instead of talking about him now that he is deceased…. Vladtv is lame for that just like everyone else that is now trash talking Alpo now that he is gone!

  155. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Some YouTubers (we can take with a grain of salt) said he was still cooperating in the 2000s and maybe even working with them present time.
Wouldn’t they want someone more low key? If people were spotting Alpo at the club why would they use him? Alpo spot was hot. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

  156. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

That’s why it’s hard to believe he’s still alive. The government helped him once, so what would be the incentive to help him again? They’ve gotten the info they needed 30 years ago.
I find it hard to believe also. Witness protection was for his own benefit—to protect him. The government already got everything they wanted from him some 30 years ago—his youth and the testimony against his colleagues.

If he came out of prison and was given protection, but he instead chose to abuse it by coming back in public and assuming his old identity, then whatever happened to him was on him. There’s no incentive for the government to keep expending resources and time trying to protect a fifty plus year old man who didn’t seem too concern about his own safety.

There were many things strange about that crime scene, but I’m inclined to believe the man is gone. He was a complex person—a troubled soul. I wish him peace.

  157. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Exactly! I don’t have allegiance to any of these podcasters, but ole dude is my least favorite. He’s not from the area, all of his information is here say, and he comes off as a fan.

    1. He brags about having Alpo’s number when everyone had it. 2. He discredits the people who actually knew Alpo. 3. He’s holding on tight to a 10 minute audio because that’s the only tie between him and Alpo. Outside of that clip he’s just a dude from Detroit. Shouldn’t he be dropping exclusive BMF tea? He’s old enough to have some sort of six degrees of separation to them. Unlike NY, Detroit ain’t that big.
And he gets too emotional about beefs that aren’t his & that he had nothing to do with. It’s weird that he has a wife & kids but his life seems to revolve around Alpo. He’s more scary than the pomafia chick to me LMAO because men shouldn’t act like that

  158. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Girl yes!!! He’s so annoying! I tried to give him a chance but he rambles too much for me and he goes off topic a lot. Between that & the jail cell background & blurry camera, I can’t. I listen when he puts out the short clips

Same. I was listening to the Alpo sucka for love video the other day and was straight rolling my eyes. Instead of discussing the tea he spent the video “schooling” the “young dogs” on why they shouldn’t spend on women. The whole video was dusty but it did provide insight on Alpo the Certified Lover Boy lol.

They were straight dogging him for the video he posted after Alpo’s death was announced. He was crying and drinking. It was weird asf. He’s never met Alpo or been to Harlem yet he’s so invested.

I couldn’t believe he was sitting there drinking, crying and carrying on like that. It wasn’t a laughing matter because I was really kind of sad that he got killed but this n! gg@ was really online crying and snotting up over another man who wasn’t his friend and someone he never met. He’s a very peculiar guy.

Honestly like He isn’t from New York but got so much to say about what happened lol negros like that make me laugh like go report on Big Meech or, something stay in your stomping ground (I knew he was crazy when he tried to claim Po was from the Bronx I’m like someone get him out of here)

I know Alpo did a lot of f-ed up shit but the little boy wasn’t going to make it either way it went. I’m sure you know Uncle Apple had a hand in it with Preacher and they already knew they were going to kill him cause D could indentify his own uncle. The game don’t love nobody.

  159. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Supposedly didn’t Preacher rape his male victims?? That adds another level of evil. I know Sub0 says he runs the prison yard or used too anyway, hes an old man now.

Yes, I really think he raped Bobby Brown when he kidnapped him too. Preacher was a walking demon. To me, he enjoyed raping his victims. Nut ass even use to cement men into walls. Can you imagine your brother being cemented in a wall and yall looking for him? Terrible.

Facts. Everybody talk about Alpo snitching but Preacher snitched on his own son and daughter and still took a life sentence. It’s no honor amongst thieves nor am I justifying Alpo but his own kids? That part ain’t talked about enough.

People don’t discuss this often, how do you introduce your kids to such a lifestyle and up stitching on them smh. It’s like you destroyed their lives twice.

  160. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Can someone tell me why does King Earner hate Alpo so much?

He really loves him. I think that Alpo was his idol at a certain point in time and because he told, he destroyed his perfect fantasy. He doesn’t strike me as the type that grew up with a father, thus him looking up to drug dealers & rappers. He’s just hurt. But I really do think he love that man. Maybe its one of those DL homo thug crushes or something. Plus he makes a lot of money & gained a lot of notoriety talking about Alpo. That’s not going to stop because he’s dead.

  161. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Anyone watch Sub0 yesterday? He said he reached out to Alpo’s wife (who is she?) and she’s been telling people that he’s cremated but he’s not buying it.

I think sub0 ate dog food as a kid. I enjoy his Alpo stories but he say & do a lot of dumb sh!t. Did you catch the show when he was praising & dissing UFDTV at the same time… and cackling with the white man who said n!gg@ casually about 3 times? lmaoooo of course he believes Alpo is still alive. He’s an idiot.

  162. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Not trying to be funny a lot of these dudes have a crush on Po you can tell they be clocking him more than the ladies it’s quite entertaining to watch at the point( It’s sad cause a lot of the men need to start living in they truth instead of trying to act tough tony all day or aggressive on this internet)

Po was a real life Nino Brown to them.

To them, it’s like Nino Brown came back to life and came back to Harlem. He was like, this mystical figure in the flesh who came back around and they’re even more fascinated to see in action, the person you may have heard about and read about 30 years ago, who was living in Witness Protection this whole time, living it up again in the place that made him famous.

That’s the reason for their obsession.

  163. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Po was way before a nino brown and all these other movie characters made these grown ass men acting like they have a crush or a hurt ex it is what it is
The movie came out right before he got locked up though. So he was still out on the streets when New Jack City (NJS) came out. His life (and many other kingpinsfrom that time) mirrored Nino Brown.

So his return to Harlem was like the return or (rising from the dead) of Nino Brown and it was fascinating to have him exist and interact in a space and time that is so vastly different than when he got locked up.

There was no social media, internet, text messaging, other technology when he was hot on the streets.

That’s why I said earlier in the thread, it was like seeing a relic come back from an ancient time.

  164. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Rico posted a new picture of him and Gumby together on IG saying, “we gonna be solid bro it’s in our blood”. Gumby replied, “I got you for life dad wouldn’t have it any other way daddy gone but you got me”.
Awww … that’s sad but good that they are being there for each other. After missing out on so much of their lives, to be out and about so recklessly was kind of selfish. He had people who loved and cared about him and who wanted him to be alive.

If I were him, I would have just told my story, gotten some money for it (people are very intrigued by him and his story), moved to Puerto Rico, and sailed off into the sunset.

I read in a comment on IG that Alpo got paid 4 million from Netflix for whatever is going to be released but idk
It’s so strange to me. He had friends and people out there trying to help him get some money and deals, yet he was still out there moving recklessly. Like dude, do you want to live or do you want to die?

    Is Fuzzy Karen??
Fuzzy is on Facebook. Her name is Bella Samone.

  165. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

New jack city is based on another hustler, i think from b-more..
From my understanding it was about Supreme Mcgriff I believe hes from Queens. However according to the screenwriter it incorporates many dealers of that time:

Besides Paid In Full, Alpo was an inspirational figure to Barry Michael Cooper’s “Nino Brown” in New Jack City. In a 2016 25th anniversary interview, the film’s screenwriter told Ambrosia For Heads, “[In] my era of the late ’70s, early ’80s, all those dudes were in the shadows. They didn’t want to be out front. Fast forward to Rooftop and Alpo [Martinez] and Azie [Faison] and Rich [Porter]. These dudes were celebrating who they were. That was the difference. Wes was a split of both—half of it was he could make the reference to Elliot Ness and The Untouchables. The other part is when he’s walking to the spotlight with that split of Moet with a straw—which is what we used to do in Harlem World—you’re celebrating who you are. ‘F*ck it, I’m that dude. Y’all gonna

  166. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Girl it doesn’t matter now! Alpo is dead! Period. Yall kill me in these threads acting like y’all don’t want to spill tea or tell the business when that’s exactly what we’re all here for! Either you want to be nosey or not. We’re all here for the same reason!

What’s the point of coming into the thread telling your findings but not actually telling what you found? It’s like the girls in the other thread talking about their “last convo” with Alpo but don’t want to spill what it was about. If you don’t want to spill, keep it child! We’re all here to be nosey so when yall start getting in this fake secretive bag about business that’s really none of ours anyway, it’s weird. Is this not a gossip site? Like tf. Lol. Put up or shut up child. It’s getting tiiiiiiieddddd. The fake moral high ground on a gossip site his a true cackle hunny!

New jack city is based on another hustler, i think from b-more..
I never said Nino Brown was based on Alpo.

Just most of us who grew up during that time and would hear about Alpo (and other kingpins) and we’ve never got to witness any of them live to old age or be back out on the streets in the 21st century.

If you weren’t born yet or were just a baby when he was in his prime, you won’t understand.

  168. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

I think a lot of people don’t understand how jail has an effect on prisoners if you’ve never been. Reading the comments under YT and the blogs about Alpo guys who have gone to jail commented that some people don’t mature mentally when they’ve locked up for a lot of years.

Basically some people mature and some don’t.

I think Alpo was one of the ones who didn’t mature. Mentally he was probably stuck in the year he got locked up in and had the mentality of a 25 year old the same age he was arrested. He was locked up most of his adult life so sadly the streets were all he knew.

Sub0 who I believe he’s been to jail before went in depth a little bit about it on his podcast. He also said some prisoners have to adjust to the outside world again after being released after a long time locked away.

Idk how true it is but some people have said after he lost his mother and sister he didn’t care anymore and his kids are all grown now so he wanted to go. I think Queenflip said Po said to him that he’d give his life for his mother and sister to be here and when he threatened King Earner he mentioned them and said he ain’t got nothing to lose no more. Gene Deal Diddy’s former bodyguard said Alpo told him the same thing about his mother and his sister.

  169. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

    Edit her FB name out

Why? The information on Facebook is public. Her profile isn’t private and people on there are still calling her Fuzzy. She has pictures of her son with Alpo. I don’t think she’s hiding and she has no reason to. That was years ago, she has nothing to do with Alpo and his shenanigans and seems to have moved on with her life.

Right. I think people do that for attention. This is a gossip site. Anything out there on social media is public information.

Wow. All of that is so true. His mother and sister were probably the ones keeping things in perspective for him. I listened to one of his interviews where he said he used to see Diddy promoting parties all the time, but at that time they didn’t know how much money hip hop would generate, maybe he would have put his money up, but things happen. After I heard him say that I started to wonder if he ever had regrets that he chose the wrong path.

He was handsome, charismatic, and I understand a great basketball player. He likely could have done other things to get money. From beginning to end, his life was actually tragic.

He said in an interview that if he had gone to live with this Caucasian family that wanted to adopt him his life would’ve turned out differently.

I agree with all those things he was tall, handsome, had a great personality, and he could dress really nice he could’ve got his hands into fashion.

I think people do that to protect their privacy a lot of them don’t want to be seen but social media detectives will find them. lol Also, because if their page draw too much attention they’ll deactivate or put it in private so that messes up their chance to be nosey. lol

That weird YTer guy says Alpo has kids that don’t want to be known. It’s on his last video before the one he just posted. He said he and Po talked about it but he won’t drop the full interview. smh

They posted his daughter’s IG and she deactivated it shorty afterwards even though she don’t mess with Alpo.

You can’t really see anything pass a certain date on Fuzzy’s FB page but she also has a food page on IG I’ll have to find it again. She sales dinners but that’s all she posts about. Her personal IG page is private.

Having no father and living in poverty is the cause of many tragic stories. Alpo idolized Nicky Barnes and went to work for dealers at 12. He had no positive male role models that was consistent in his life. In that mixtape with KaySlay he said he had holes in his shoes and dirty clothes I’m sure causing insecurity and embarrassment we know kids can be cruel. The white family at least would have provided a different environment where could have thrived.
    Thanks

Was she ugly back in the day? I ask because he doesn’t strike me as the type of dude to turn down women or be picking. Sub0 said Po fcked anything moving and most of the women he hit were women Sub would never talk to a day in his life. lol I kinda believe him because his baby mama’s and ex girlfriend aren’t all that pretty to me.
From what’s been said the baby mamas we’re actually dimes back in the day. Margie Gumby’s mom was considered the bad chick around the way. She’s gained a lot of weight but according to Sub was quite beautiful. Age stress addiction can take a toll on women’s looks. I believe his standards went down because of the prison stint his age weight gain, at that point young hotties weren’t checking for him like that.

  174. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Did anyone see a post saying that a girl is supposedly pregnant by Alpo? It also said she was devastated by his death. The person who wrote it deleted the post. I wonder if that was fake because the page is most definitely fake.

It’s so crazy learning po use to box and they said he was pretty great at it to the point he could’ve been a boxer

  175. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

This comment is interesting becaushe yes Alpo was Puerto Rican but did he affiliate/consider himself Latino? Yes, obviously he was, but I think African American culture was his life since childhood. He had all black friends dated black women and many long time friends did not know he was Puerto Rican.
Please remember he was 55. Many Puerto Ricans, and others from the Latino community, especially the older ones from New York, immersed themselves in black culture.

They lived, worked, went to school with, grew up with black people, not just ADOS/FBA. So while he may have been Puerto Rican and spoke fluent Spanish, he knew black culture as well as Puerto Rican culture. That’s how most old school, (Gen X and older) Latino/a New Yorkers were.

These new generation Latino/a New Yorkers are anti-black af now.

However their were gangs like the Latin Kings, Etas, etc…that were more inline with his upbringing in Spanish Harlem and culture , hell his nickname growing up was El Negro and mother only spoke Spanish, yet he seemed by all accounts not to associate heavily with Latino people as he grew older. He even setup Latin dope dealers to rob them. Also im not sure where the notion that Latinos of old were not anti black. They have always been colorstruck, segregated and the views of the young were taught to them by the older generation.

  176. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Alpo was getting 6,000 a month from the feds after his release. Anyone know this to be true? When I find the video I’ll post it.
6k a month for what? He’s already given information and his youth. His end of the deal was fulfilled when he was given 25 years instead of life. So, why would the feds give him an additional 6k? I’m more inclined to believe that the people he refused to snitch on dropped bags on him. The alphabet orgs have much bigger fish to fry in the 21st century than 80’s street drug dealers.

You guys should check out Fear City: New York vs The Mafia on Netflix. The series talks about how the NYPD and alphabet orgs conspired to dismantle organized crime in New York. It mainly focuses on the mob, but it provides a greater understanding of organized crime. Once the mafia were targeted [and arrested] by the government, next in line were the black gangs.

  177. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

Alpo and his modern fashions kill me lmao. He was styling and profiling.
Dude fashion game was on point. He was a main part of the reason why Dapper Dan got famous in hip hop culture.

  178. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

All that comment means is that he been a CI because a person can only “fake” their death with law enforcement permission/cooperation. He was watching his opps and feeding info to the Feds waaaaaaaay before he got “locked up” in 1991.

Pay attention. Sometimes people mistakenly say a lot by what they don’t say/know.

He said in an interview that if he had gone to live with this Caucasian family that wanted to adopt him his life would’ve turned out differently.
No it wouldn’t have. All ex-cons say that stupid shit…

“If I’da had a different set of parents…”
“If I’da had a father figure or mentor or deacon to guide me…”
“If my baby mama hadn’tna left me or took my kids…”
    “If I wouldn’t have gotten molested…”
“If I wouldn’t have been sent to foster care…”
“If my mama wasn’t on crack in the 80s…”

Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah…Po would have STILL been a criminal, maybe a white collar criminal with a degree but a fucking narcissistic crimey nonetheless. People need to be for real…criminality is both inherent (born) and nurtured (bred).

Alpo has kids that don’t want to be known. It’s on his last video before the one he just posted. He said he and Po talked about it but he won’t drop the full interview. smh
I don’t doubt it as much as he liked to have sex like a nymphomaniac using NO condoms in the era of AIDS in NYC. SMH. If he had less than 5-10 biological kids from when he probably first started around 18 to age 28, I’d be surprised.

If he has anymore children they’d all be 29 & up. He got locked up back in NOV of 91’ at the age of 25 right? I wonder if he had any little babies but he didn’t strike me as the type to want to start over having children.

  179. R.I.P. Yung Dolph

So my cousin was watching the full AZ interview with Vlad on his tv when I went over to visit today and although I didn’t get to see the full interview because he was already half way into it I was able to see the ending.

AZ said that he got a call from a girl who was close with Alpo he didn’t say her name but I’m thinking it was Misa. AZ said the girl called him and asked him about doing some business with Alpo something about a sit down interview possibly a movie or documentary in the works. He agreed so she sent him over some contacts.

AZ called a friend to have him look over the contract because he didn’t agree with what the contract stated but the next morning on Halloween the guy called and said Alpo had been killed. He said he didn’t believe it at first so he called the girl who was close to Alpo and she confirmed that he was killed while crying over the phone.

He also said something like if Alpo’s is really dead.

At the end of the interview he said RIP Alpo he didn’t disrespect him at all. I guessed we’ll be able to discuss this when Vlad drops that part of the interview I think my cousin has a membership that’s how he was able to watch the full interview.

I always wondered how AZ’s sister felt about her boyfriend at the time pretty much being a jealous punk and killed her family and attempted to kill her brother.

Her brother actually looked out for that dude…

Never knew Paid In Full was actually based somewhat on a true story.

“The real life Calvin, Kevin Clark was not murdered in a revenge killing by Rico, as is depicted in the film. Kevin Clark and his accomplices, Ronald Timmons and Henry Bolden were all arrested soon after the incident and are serving 112 years – to life sentences.”
